R211T open gangway full video: • Riding MTA NYC Subway ... - Auta a dopravní prostředky
watching the whole train shift from all the way in the back looks cool ashh
0:28 wow that is aggressive
Back in London UK, all of the trains on the Sub-Surface tube lines on the London Underground (Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City, Circle and District Lines) now have open gangways. In a years time, the Piccadilly Line will be getting new trains with open gangways with air-conditioning as well. This will be the first Deep-Level tube line to be fitted with that feature.
Its good that the MTA is rolling in the new fleet of R211Ts onto the Eighth Avenue C Line and its making better use for travellers on that particular Subway Line.
Nice Video Mate!
I still can’t believe some of the trains in the UK don’t have AC. Very strange from someone who lives in 90-100% humidity during the summers
@@JoeyLovesTrains There are some of the older trains on the National Railway network in the UK still operating with no AC including a number of Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs) which are:
Class 150
Class 153
Class 155
Class 156
Class 165
There are also a number of older Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) that don't have AC as well which are:
Class 318 (Scotland)
Class 320 (Scotland)
Class 323
Class 455
Class 465
Class 466
Class 507 (Merseyrail)
The trains on the London Underground that don't have AC, they are the:
Bakerloo Line
Central Line
Jubilee Line
Northern Line
Piccadilly Line
Victoria Line
Note: The Piccadilly Line will be the first Deep Level Tube Line to get Air-Conditioned trains along with an Open-Gangway with it as well.
It can be a very uncomfortable experience travelling on them during the hot summer days but they keep the windows open to provide ventilation to cool off the passengers as well.
I can hear one of them passengers talking about how good the open gangway idea is.
That's some really aggressive turning
Yeah. if it's gonna be that sharp of a turn, then I would recommend going slow
So trippy looking down the train as it turns, and as it straightens out.,
Awesome video. I remember being amazed by that the first time I went to NYC... but viewed through the windows in the doors on each car. I can't wait to see it in person!
Next to the BMT D types these are the best subway trains to use in express service during rush hours.
Thank You!
We finally live in the future
Great video!!!!!
its good idea to lean on the open gangway soft shell than just standing and holding on in open gangway It will prevent you from falling while train is moving and shaking
0:29 is this the canal street crossover?
yes
That’s like Article Subway cars
Reminds me of the Paris metro
0:31 -casually throws the steering wheel left and right by accident out of control-
SHIT SHIT SHIT GET UNDER CONTROL-…. GET UNDER CONTROL-…GET UNDER CONTR-…
Passengers: 📰 ☕️
Trains in America do not have steering wheel. It is all controlled by the motorman's handle. And they have steel wheels not rubber tires.
Now doesn't that look awesome!!!😁😁
Imagine an R142 open gangway…
That would be cursed lol
0:25 FUSCA FUSCA FUSCA FUSCA

London has this since 2009
And New York has air conditioning in their subways since the 60's 🤷♂️
London actually has had this technically since 1986 with the DLR
Oh great now I’m seasick on land
Lmao
Kind of terrifying ngl
