Here’s a cut and paste from an article titled “Redemption Song” that gives the answer: Emperor Selassie’s Actual Beliefs Despite having literal worshipers, Selassie himself was a Christian and member of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. He always rejected the view that he was the second Christ, explained the Reverend of Holy Trinity Church, where Selassie attended later in life. “He always remained a Christian. Unlike many false prophets and messianic figures who have come and gone through the years, Selassie never claimed to be the Messiah or God. He also never followed or led the Rastafari movement. It was the rare case where one was basically selected as messiah. In an interview with Canada CBC news in 1967, Selassie stated : I have heard of that idea [that I am divine]. I also met certain Rastafarians. I told them clearly that I am a man, that I am mortal, and that I will be replaced by the oncoming generation, and that they should never make a mistake in assuming or pretending that a human being is emanated from a deity. Selassie died in 1975, prompting many Rastas to proclaim his death was a hoax, while others claimed Selassie was still existing, just no longer in bodily form. Despite his death proving that he did not fulfill the Bibles prophecies about the Second Coming of the Messiah (who will come and rule and reign on a His throne forever), and Selassie’s own personal denials, many Rastas today still insist on Selassie’s divinity...

The awful truth about the League of Nation was established to prevent wars of aggressions. But, the Willie Lynch of the Americas ideas of race and imperialism helped to bring to light during King Salessie's speech the leagues true colors. The shame of this organization under a false title, made many false promises to Africa. And the allowance of some to receive justice in the league while others suffer is the main reason Africa needs to take back and hunt down those treasures, and unite.

the people having too much conspiracys..focus on the positive and think for yourself and research clearly..i think selassie was a servant of god..and i mean the one good god.you are hearing and reading words..words are just words and in some ways helpfull but you have to give love and faith with love to the good god and in christ ! they will tell you names to pray, buildings to get into to serve god..but you know..the greatest church is in your heart and soul ..your real heart is your soul.spread the message of love how much you can and dont judge too much about the things that are not getting into your heart..love,peace and livity my brothers and sisters.

He is not. This king is evil who kept his empire in the south as tenants (treated as slaves) left for hunger. A man of god doesnt do that.
