After a journey of over 70 hours, the four #TrainTigers 🐯🐯🇦🇷🐯🐯 arrived at our LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary, and our team was relieved to see how well they managed the long trip.
Watch the first moments that the rescued tigers first stepped onto the grass in South Africa and watch them bravely explore their new home. We are so proud of Messi, Sandro, Mafalda, and Gustavo - words can’t describe the emotions we all feel after this successful rescue mission! 💚

Dr.Amil you have every right to feel proud. The whole team are wonderful and to see these tigers take their first step onto grass and feel free is so emotional and I love you all. Why there’s no laws to prevent such cruelty to prevent animals being free I don’t understand at all. Laws needed!!
Agree Linda! All animals should have the right to live their lives in freedom and not to be exploited, not only wild animals, but also the ones that are so unlucky to be deemed “live stock” by humans.

Dr. Amir has done an amazing job, relocating these tigers to lions rock sanctuary and also four paws. Lets hope that many more animals can be saved from a terrible life. Shocking that so many animals are treated like this. Unfortunately people are either waging war or zoo's are going bust and these dangerous animals get parked somewhere or left in a cage.
It's wonderful that keeping animals that were born to be free in small cages for life is going out of fashion, and even being outlawed in many places.
There are a handful of zoos that truly are into conservation and humane treatment of animals, but sadly most of them are not.
Most zoos breed the animals because babies draw crowds--more money. They auction off the older animals because they no longer entertain the crowds & they're expensive to keep. Usually canned hunt organizations purchase the zoo's discarded animals so their wealthy clients can pay to kill them & use their corpses for wall decor or rugs.......and the zoos call this "conservation". It's sickening.
You made a very good point about the animals being abandoned. When inhumane zoos & circuses shut down for any reason, we need to do better about making sure the animals are rescued & taken to sanctuaries. This should be the most important part of the plan.
What inspiring people. Bless them for giving these beautiful animals the life that had been so cruelly denied them for so long. May they enjoy many happy years in their new home. Dr Amir is so committed to helping these poor animals. It's very touching to see his emotional response to the job finally being completed.
Such wonderful humans,to dedicate life to help animals that desperately need compassion. So much admiration and love for all involved.

If you read the story behind it, it makes sense. The farmer that they left the tigers with was afraid of the government, so did not tell them that he had them for many years.
Fantastic job by Four Paws and Dr Amir - broke my heart seeing those tigers having been treated like that for so long and hope they live well and prosper at Lionsrock. Wonderful work by all involved.
The happiness on that doctor's face when the tigers were rescued, loaded, every step of the way that took them closer to the most freedom they have ever known...that man feels so deeply about doing the right thing for these creatures. His tears of pure joy at the end.....God bless that man.
