Audio engineer here. The audio def had an issue, which is likely that one of the channels was accidentally phase-inverted - meaning when you use a single airpod, it sums to mono and cancels the entire sound out. Modern TV's work in stereo, which is why there was no issue there - it's ONLY if the sound is summed to mono, which is what singular airpods do. Easy fix if it happens again: put a utility plugin/processor on the output and flip the phase of one side and it will be back to normal. Then we be yelling Chinder in full stereo
Easy fix for airpods users that only want to use one: remove the second airpod from its case, then you can use either airpod and should be able to hear without issue.

Audio only played through one rear channel. I could tell because I was listening on my surround sound system. Some people's devices take incoming audio input and mix it so they heard fine. But most people listen in stereo which only has a left and right channel, no rear channels, so they heard no audio.

It's inverted somehow. Not reversed, meaning left is right and vice versa, meaning like the frequency or something. Dunno, not an audio expert but I've heard this issue before. Weird thing is if you play this on a laptop or something and cover one side's speaker, it kind of sorts it out.

It’s more than likely due to Brendan over analyzing the matchup and looking too deep into it, while Bryan’s more of a casual viewer and doesn’t get lost in the technical aspects, he just see’s it for what it is
