Man, he wrote one incredible story. It instantly became one of my all time faves. Turning Astro Boy into a detective murder mystery that explores the question of what happens if AI and humans become one another, was genius.
That and monster are in my all time favorites.
@@shinigamirenegade Funny enough, that was the exact vibe I got when I first started watching this anime. Monster + Bladerunner vibes due to the whole futuristic AI and hunting a serial killer in a detective murder mystery. Monster is one of my all time faves too.

melhor anime que pude assistir em anos! não sou entusiasta de mangá, fui forjado desde pequeno a ver desenhos dos mais variados, nunca tinha ouvido falar de astro boy ou coisa parecida até ver PLUTO mas caralhooo como a produção, narrativa, efeitos e tudo envolta do desenho me cativou…espero ver uma segunda temporada se é que existe essa possibilidade! melhor desenho (anime xD) que pude assistir de 2023 inclusive estou revendo novamente com mais atenção aos detalhes! FODA D+

Good adaptation of an Astro Boy story, as someone who loved the original Astro Boy, Pluto brings back childhood memories while being it's own good story as well
I'm also an OG Astro Boy fan, I started with the 2009 film and went from there.
This show made me cry. It's so emotional

Fucking genius for god's sake I'm so so so grateful I found this, the episode one had me in tears I've sobbed at the intensity of angst it made me feel it was just soo real.. I imagine no movies can make me feel the way this anime did God what an amazing backstory and "it's time for our piano lessons" I've never cried this way
"20th Century Boys" is still my number 1 favorite manga to this day,.....yes even more than any Shounen Series
And to think that from the same mangaka we also got "Monster", and "Billy Bat" is unbelievable

This anime was worth the wait. A good anime of the year contender.
This was true art. Passion in abundance like this is rarely seen these days and I'm thankful for it. I wish I could pay them directly for my watch. I'd watch it again in theaters and take the whole day off to do it again.

PLUTO漫画開始するのにそんな経緯があったんだ。虫プロさんと超企画練ったんだろうと思ってたから想像と全然違った。
まだアニメ化してないのとか短編作品とか、浦沢作品もっとアニメ化してほしい〜。
最後の件はＰＬＵＴＯが始まったころ伊集院さんとのラジオでも語られていた内容ですね

Naoki Urasawa imo is the greatest mangaka. Man literally gave us 4 masterpieces. Here's hoping for a 20th century boys and billy bat adaptation.
Man, 2023 has been a really good year for animation! Just to name a few, so far we had:
-Castlevania, Demon Slayer, Vinland Saga, Jujutsu Kaisen new seasons;
-Attack on Titan's ending;
-Spider-man Across the spiderverse;
-Scott Pilgrim, Blue Eye Samurai, and this masterpiece that is Pluto as new entries.
And again, that is just to name a few; there's plenty more on the list. I seriously can't wait to see what next year has to offer.
Yeah, Castlevania race swaps, NOT Scott Pilgrim, Miles Morales - Peter Parker stand-in and Blue Eye "I hate men and whitey" Samurai are really great.

When the astro boy came out, I was very small ,memories lingers and are shady I don't remember ( the story )
But The character Designs were engraved in my brain
I was over the moon when I heard about Pluto ( manga ) and second time when I heard it was being animated
The fact that an Indian boy got to know this Japanese genius ( I feel honoured to be born when the work of naoki San is still alive ❤)
And the US is the root of all political problems 😂( just kidding )

i will not complain of they remake monster anime
It really doesn't need a remake. Sure, it would be cool to see it in updated visuals and sound quality, but they'd have to nail the faithfulness to the manga and voice acting yet again. Which would be nearly impossible. Making a remake would exite ideas for change in the story, and that's almost always a problem.

there shouldn’t be a season 2. Netflix animated the whole series in the eight episodes they dropped.
This is best on Astro Boy’s last arch and it’s an anime adaptation of the Pluto manga so there isn’t a second season.
