I talked to the plow operator. Older gentleman that has been plowing the mountain pass for many years. He said that you have to know the trail by heart so that you don't fall off the mountain. It's a moderate 4x4 tral. He's very skilled in operating heavy equipment. I'm pretty sure he plows most of it. I don't know if it would be safe to leave the equipment in the mountains through the winter due to the risk of avalanches.
