- This tier list is for the previous patch! I'm in the process of making a new, updated tier list, but for the most part things have stayed relatively the same for me. I will also be making a multiplayer character tier list for you guys.
My official tier list! For now... this order is subject to change, as it already has in the past, a couple times. Do you guys agree with my placements? Disagree? What character was furthest off for you between my rankings and yours? Let me know in the comments!

Hey everyone, I really appreciate all the new eyes on this video, but I do have to say that this video was made BEFORE the Avalon update and is therefore outdated. I'm working on making a new, updated tier list, so in the meantime, subscribe! I will also be making other tier lists, such as items, a character tier list for multiplayer, etc.

Just started playing this ! its amazing, hopefully they will add more multiplayer control over the lobby, like regions to chose. ive played with some pretty laggy people these past few days.
Interesting, I've actually had the most issues when playing with my friends, who live in the same city as me 😅 but this most recent update fixed that. I do shell out a lot for internet, tho, so that could be why I have a generally better experience. It should improve, tho. Thanks for the comment and good luck in your runs!

I haven't had a chance to play the Avalon update yet, but I'm excited to try it!
My favorite characters to play on the hardest difficulty goes: Melusine, Beowulf, Scarlet, Geppetto. (in order)
I've got about 150 hours into this game and the times when I reliably beat Nightmare in 3-4 player parties is when everyone understands that avoiding damage is the higher priority and protecting feathers over taking risks on difficult nodes too early.
My favorite build with Melusine is going Spring Water and building around special with Backwash and Water Communion. Then taking Wisp Ballet (2nd ult) and hopefully receiving Waterlogging and Submerging Attack. Both apply to Wisp Ballet (at least prior to the Avalon update).
I think one of the lessons I've learned is when to get my damage in. On Nightmare difficulty, the 2nd boss can catch her during animations (bosses are faster and stronger) so I switch to waiting for the boss to attack first then counter.

I did an Aladdin carry run where i got Hope Diamond early on and didnt die. The extent to which he can power up allies with that much income is insane, especially when you realize HD doubles the shards he gets from wishing too. He's also phenomenal with HD because he can spend his shards in the field, minimizing what you might otherwise lose to bad luck, mistakes or lag.
Yeah, Hope Diamond is OP as hell. I do plan on making a multiplayer specific tier list, so keep an eye for that ;) Aladdin is pretty high on that one for me
I find that sun wukong has the highest skill ceiling imo because if you're a god you can parry everything. Utter insanity
But it's hard to master Wukong's skills I think 😂.
It's definitely true, I just think his parry is kind of janky and unreliable. Trying to parry something only for the enemy to miss you and then you're screwed, for example. But I could see him being S tier for some people who are more used to his play style.
I think if we're just talking about power and consistency, they did a great job at balancing
My own list would probably be:
B: Aladdin (needs tornado jump/dive or a power talent to get to the same level as others)
A: Piper (if he gets chorus he's S tier)
S: Gepetto, Snow Queen, Scarlet, Melusine, Beowulf, Wukong (this is ordered "weakest" to strongest but all top tiers imo)
That's definitely fair, I do think a lot of the characters CAN be strong. And tbh, they can all have stinkers (see the good/bad Beowulf video for a perfect example of that)
I found love with Scarlet human form. I thought it was weak until I got used to her defense which is pretty sick. It made her so much better once I learned and then the ability Double Strike makes everything so much better.

I agree with some parts of the list. I will rank them based on 4 factors: 1.Easy to clear the map, 2.Apply "vulnerable" effect, 3.Healing, 4.Difficulty to die ( or no death).
S Tier : Aladdin - crit chance build completely destroys everything. It’s easy to reach 200k damage with him. He can apply vulnerability and has a healing skill.
A Tier : Snow queen and Melusine - I really like these heroes and play them the most. They do aoe damage, easy to reach 200k damage. They clear maps quickly because they are very fast. However, Melusine can't apply vulnerability so it takes time to defeat bosses (she has one skill, but you need to level up to unlock it). Snow Queen also lacks self-healing, making her susceptible to death.
B Tier (Normal): Sun Wukong - He is really good but I think it's really hard to master.
Geppetto - Low health, low damage, and slow movement make it difficult for me to clear maps most of the time.
Scarlet - The Shadow Strikes build is excellent and fun to play, but she lacks a strong AOE skill. I think she's stronger than Wukong and Geppetto so B+ :P
Beowulf - Playing him is enjoyable because he has many builds. However, he can’t apply vulnerability, and he's slow.
C Tier: Piped Piper - low damage, low health, easy to die. He doesn't have decoy like Geppetto. I've never successfully cleared the map with this hero in Nighmare.
For heroes in S and A tier, I never use "Raven" in any Nighmare run.
Love how in-depth this is! I agree about the vulnerability issue on Melusine and Snow Queen, but I think they just deal so much damage anyways, it doesn't really bother me. I think it's intentional, too, because there's some give and take with squishiness and damage dealing for them. Overall, good points, but yeah, preference plays a big factor for me. It's actually funny, cuz I think The Snow Queen is one of my worst characters in terms of win rate (cuz I'm a choke artist), but I still have her in S.
@@SyphroPlays if I get enough damage boost, "vulnerable" is not a big deal. But when I have 0 damage/health/armor, vulnerable will help a lot. I play all heroes and never kill stage 2 boss in 10 seconds except Aladdin. Scarlet can be too but maximum crit from her cannot be compared to Aladdin's wish.😅
Beside, if we like any hero and master his/her skill set, it can be S rank I think. I saw some Piped Piper video where he's really strong but it never be my case 😑
I think the only characters I've one shot the 2nd boss with are Sun Wukong, Melusine, and Aladdin. Maybe Scarlet once

I really like Scarlett since she / werewolf have two abilities that give I-frames.
That's the best part of human form, imo, is the i-frames

About Geppetto. He is difficult, yes, his mechanic is very specific. But I play really much with him, and I beat everything down with my dummies, even on Nightmare difficulty. He needs a lot of skill to be strong, that's all
I just don't understand how you make his dummies deal damage and not die at the same time. They just get 2 shot, usually.
@@SyphroPlays hehe, as I say, practice, practice and practice. Or, as Geppetto says, even a triangle can be made to roll. Who said that you need them to live for long? You place a dummy, use power and wait, trait and power have same cooldown. If dummy dies, it's fine, you still have an infinite amount of them. If not, he just deals some passive damage. Your main weapon is power. Yes, there is a bonk build, where you make their attack very strong, but usually only power deals really much damage
I play multiplayer most, and Gepetto is insane at reanimate your mates, and is most of the time the charachter who delt the more damages over time. I just miss something to jump a frame or two over the attacks, not to die against the boss 2 and 3 in nightmare
I'm a fan of Scarlet, but it feels like 50% of the time (werewolf form) she's broken, then in human form she just feels very underwhelming unless you get lucky with her build.
I think Wukong has a lot of potential, he's definitely my highest win rate.
I'm not sure who my best win rate is, but it's definitely not Sun Wukong haha. He was just too weak before the update, for me personally

nice, I think Gepetto is weak in hardest level. a lot skill need more scarecrow. but always beoken fast.
Piper have no damege special and defense skill start. weak early.
Yeah early with Pied Piper is rough, but he is really fun, in my opinion. I do remember liking Geppetto a lot more in the lower difficulties, too, though.

Scarlet does a ton of damage but I don't like how the human form feels, personally
