can i just say occams laser is the coolest name i've heard in a while. great jams!
would be cooler if they used the proper spelling, Ockham Laser, rather than the fake one used by fake skepticists.
@@jamesbraza It's likely a fusion with the infamous Newton's Flaming Laser Sword: "If it can't be settled by experiment then it isn't worth debating."
Synthwave and the Divine Comedy, a match made in heaven
Really just a good motif for electronic music period. I.E. see Cross by Justice or SMTIV
Finally, some alternative music to play ULTRAKILL to.
nah ultra kill music just fit that game perfectly, but this is still fire in its own right
anger goes so incredibly hard. I'm writing a paper on decadence and Roman Catholicism and this is just making the words pour out. Thank you SO much.
Should check out communism...ya know that killed over 200 million in our recent times? Just a little thing there
Good music to study computer science to.
Came across this while listening to Keygen Church
this BANGS SO HARD. KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK
I want you to know, you're helping me get my college education. You're Mozart with a synthesizer.
:D you’re way too kind!!
I’m just really glad my music is being put to good use
I always like listening to this when I'm doing my accounting homework. It makes me feel like I'm a character in an 80's thriller movie discovering some money laundering scheme and getting hunted down by the mafia for exposing their secrets. In reality I am learning how to balance a checkbook 😂
What great timing! I’m writing a sci-fi version of Dante’s Inferno and this is literally perfect as a writing soundtrack. Amazing work
@@szin Going well! I’m in the editing / beta reader phase. It’s my first manuscript to make it this far and it’s a ton of (mostly fun but sometimes tedious) work. Six months at least until it’s ready for publication. Whew, lol!
Being relatively new to this genre of music, it gives me Carpenter Brut and Hotline Miami vibes, and I now just know that I definitely found myself a new favorite genre of music, along with a new great artist, which is great because that's exactly what I was looking for, especially to get some fresh new music for when I work! Also I just love the name Occams Laser, that's badass!
Darksynth has a lot of great artists and i hope you have a great journey sifting through and finding what you like :)
All the songs were really good and were nice background music while I was doing homework, but I really liked Illumination. Loved the feel of all these tracks together, they worked really cohesively. I'll have to look into some other albums.
Thanks a lot!
Illumination is definitely one of my favourite ever creations so I’m really glad you like it :)
1:16:50 I love deficient justice, this song goes so hard.
am on that track as I read your comment, and can confirm, song goes hard af.
This will be a good day...
first Keygen Church, then this! CZcams knows what I'm into
Never clicked faster in my life
@@Occams_Laser I have been listening to Liszt's classical piece Inferno which actually covers the same stages. The nine circles, purgatory, and ascension.
Not sure if you're much into classical but it's an epic piece
I'm not sure if i have so I'll definitely be putting it on my 'to listen to' list as it sounds very much to my taste :)
Amazing dark synth music. Temperance and Deficient Justice are probably my favorites.
The algorithm really recommended this video to all keygens fans (nice music btw)
I love the Carpenter Brut vibes. Thanks for giving me a sequel to Trilogy :D
My journey continues.
Greetings future Champs.
I've been looping some of those for the past two years almost every single work shift. Inspiring work, can't wait for more
Why can't I like this more than once?.....
Here because i got adicted after playing Heretic's fork! Great job guys!
Abandoned Vows 1:11:33 is the best
I listened Divine Comedy audiobook half a dozen times and I really like this theme. You got it right and I'm enjoying quite a lot. Thank you.
I've been unable to work on one of my assignments for a while, now. Every time I've sat down to work on it, I've allowed myself to get distracted, or otherwise procrastinate. I've finally started working on it with this album, thank you!
this music is so fire it dosent create sound waves it creates heat waves
This just started playing through my speaker.. Maybe pocket dial algorithm magick.. Well.. Life is magick.. Rolling with it and turned the speakers up.
I'm so glad I discovered you through Heretic's Fork. What a banger soundtrack.
Oh, to discover such good music. nothing comes close to the feeling.
CZcams must've recommended this to me because Justice has similar White/Black album sound, but man i'm glad it did. This is Unique.
I want to thank youtube for recommending this one bc: 1- Occam's Laser is indeed a dope name 2- I fucking love the concept of this (art and referenced works) 3- It's just the right amount of music to get my to-do list ready without going out into the night dancing. Thank you, human being behind this playlist.
As a fellow keygen enjoyer getting this recommended, god damn man you just made me feel like I found a hidden diamond in steams rough catalogue and just booted it up to these beats.
I’m glad you like what you hear :) a lot of Keygen fans seem to have found their way here! All praise the algorithm 🙌
@@Occams_Laser I will pray for the day I get to listen to your tracks on a GOTY indie game brother, keep making those sick riffs.
@@desertbeast51 Thanks so much :) fingers crossed the right dev team get in contact one day
Came here from Keygen Church, stayed for the fire beats.
Praise the Code (and the CZcams algorithm).
recommending this album is the best thing the youtube algorithm has done for me, for real
I'm glad that the CZcams most replayed feature shows that The Late Repentant is getting the attention it deserves. All of these are so good!
The CZcams algorithm must've been hard at work leading me here, but my, oh my, am I grateful!
Recommendations chain: listened to synthwave radio for nearly 1 hour, recommended keygen church. Stayed there because i felt it more like ultrakill than synthwave, and then THIS came to my recommendations. You would not believe how close your album to ultrakill's lore (probably because of Dante's inferno)
This is brilliant!
Dang, this is good. Nice work, thanks and congratulations!
This is absolutely outstanding
This is great!
Buscaba música de fondo para estudiar, pero esto merece más mi total atención que seguir estudiando, exquisito 💖
This is really great! So underapreciated.
Beautiful
Absolute BANGER !
Excellent.
Not into electronic music, but I cannot deny the BOOM of this. You killed it dude.
These are pretty dang good. Limbo is definitely my favorite. Got me hooked the moment CZcams recommended this.
I put this on expecting some sort of video essay and got to work cleaning. I completely forgot I was expecting a video essay and after 20 mins of jammin I remembered. Had to like lmao
One day I will double down and actually create a video essay with the same title over my three albums 👹 finally satisfying everyone’s expectations
80s vibes yes yoo yes dance my dragons thats my nickname for you ladies that dances for a living shoot out to the other 1% they need to be recognized for sure love you all
This is still one of my favorite synthwave albums. I've been obsessed with the Divine Comedy nearly all my life. I dont listen to this all the time but every once in a while I break it out and have my mind blown again.
Abandoned Vows really nails the feel of a broodier "Suicide Mission" track from Mass Effect 2. Love this!
That ending mission of ME2 really was superb :) I’m glad my track evokes a similar feel to that music
Pretty nice if I do say so myself. Keep up the great work mate!
this is so good this is so good
How has this not been recc'd to me since a long time ago, the tracks are awesome.
Ох нихрена себе. Такой чистый синтвейв. ZEAMN
Played this while running Stratholme in WoW. Shocking the undead on the streets and casting big heals on my tank. Awesome vibing was done.
Excellent for programming with tutti!
This is really underrated. Keep up the good work! I'm sure your fanbase will grow. :)
dark and red goes so well together
Track 16 is giving me retro video game vibes. In fact a few of these are. I like. Very well put together.
Excellent synthwave!
The musicality reaches that far reaching frequency of our soul. Just inspiring.
So much inspiration!
I gonna run my ttrpg campaign with this music :3
Im loving Heresy, it's just so dreamy
how have I not seen this for the 2 years its existed
needed this in my life, bangers all around
So the video is a few years old but the albums are from 2016-2017 🤓 glad that you like what you hear!
i’ve been on a darksynth binge lately and oh my god this mix… so fucking good.
I love it when youtube decides from time to time to recommend me absolute bangers. This is so awesome! And btw Occams Laser is such a cool name. Instant fan of your work!
Awesome!
Thank you Synth Riders for discovering this amazing artist!!
Man I just absolutely love the story these songs together just tell. I love how the Nine Circles of Hell starts, then going into Purgatory, to then Ascension. Ascension starts off sounding so otherworldly and unknown, intimidating. Such a good talent and skill for making these songs and the other ones of yours I listened to. Definitely my favorite artist, the way the albums belonging to a set come together when you listen in order. To think this was two years ago and I just discovered it a month ago, wow
I actually created this trilogy of albums back in 2017 :D so they are older than you think!
Really glad you like these albums, it’s always great to hear when my music connects with people 👹
@@Occams_Laser hell yeah listening to your music makes me feel really motivated and pumped up. it resonates with me on a deep level. similar to doom music, it genuinely feels like some of the only music that i can feel like a badass with. 2017 though, insane
I played this without any expectations. It turned out to be really nice discovery. Liked overall feeling and atmosphere of album (trilogy). Keep up good work, I will surely pay more attention to your work in the future :)
Woah, what gem have the CZcams algorithm brought this weary Soul sojourning through this purgatorial plane? 🤩
I was recommended this because I listened to Keygen Church, and I am not disappointed. The fact that you made almost 30 tracks dedicated to a single topic just goes to show how dedicated you are in your 'hobbie' so to say. Even though some of the tracks sound a bit underwhelming, the majority grasped my attention and will keep a firm grip for a long time. In time you will improve, and if you continue to make music, I will be there, listening to it. You have potential, don't squander it.
Thanks a lot :) I’m really glad you like this trilogy. Funnily enough all these albums are about 4 years old by this point and I’ve had a fair few releases since.
I’d like to think I’ve improved :D but ultimately my journey is still in the beginning stages and I’m looking forward continuing the exploration
That incredible work of art is carrying my studying right now! Just discovered you
Anger (n.5) gives me Doom vibes..thanks for the trip down memory lane! Great work! :)
I've just been introduced to your music and I already enjoy it so much. The vibes and the synthwave translation of the Divine Comedy and its aspects are things I can simply relate to. And I'm liking it a lot.
Your music is pretty fantastic.
the name of this video scratched my brain plenty. the darksynth music just makes it all-the-better.
Stumbled upon your work recently and love what I hear! Can't believe I've missed out on you for years, adding you to my synth rotation!
This music sent me through a journey! Liked the cut of your jib! Subscribed and looking forward for more
This is sick, homie. I love concept albums. This is a fantastic reimagining of Dante. Super interesting juxtaposition.
CZcams must've recommended this to me because Keygen Church has similar Red/Black album covers, but man i'm glad it did. This is FIRE.
Glad you like what you hear :)
I was listening to Keygen - then this banger of an album came on - keep it up Occams
@@basilrobertson7692 Same way i got here! Bless the youtube rabbit hole
