GAME OF THE YEAR: West 28, Powell 21 - Class 5A Semifinals

After falling to Powell in the 2021 semifinals, the West Rebels exorcised those demons with a 28-21 Class 5A semifinal win on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, at Powell High School.
JaQurrius Wrenn (2) returned a punt for a touchdown and had an INT. Marshaun Bowers (3) returned an interception 99 yards for a score. And Carson Jessie (9) delivered a late TD pass to RJ Brooks (42) for a go-ahead touchdown. Brock Hatcher (5) sacked Powell QB Jordyn Potts and forced a fumble that was recovered by C.J. Smith (44) to help West clinch the win ... and get the program back to state for the first time since 2014.
