The FATALLY Sick Son of Queen Victoria | Prince Leopold full Episode

Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany, was born on the 7th April 1853, he was the eighth child and youngest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Leopold was later created Duke of Albany, Earl of Clarence, and Baron Arklow.
He had inherited haemophilia from his mother, this disease prevents the blood from clotting and so following a fall at the age of 30 it led to his death meaning he would never meet his son.

It’s hard not to think about the Tsarevich Alexei when talking about Leopold. I’ve always wondered how long he might have lived if the Russian Revolution never happened. I know there are different levels of severity when it comes to hemophilia; I think Alexei had a worse form of the disease. Alexei was close to death several times whereas Leopold doesn’t seem to have had it as bad.
