I feel that Ryssi strategically chose this song and planned on giving the judges just enough of her abilities while pouring out the emotion. She tried and succeeded in connecting with them and that’s all she needed to do. She is saving her technical abilities during the competition. I feel that she will win. I hope so.

@@haimlig9839 I think they're doing fine enough and getting better and better. Just my opinion. As for subtitles, that would be great. But since the show's target audience are Pinoys, not foreign reactors, I doubt that creating subtitles is one of their priorities.

I don't know if you watched everything and just cut some parts (Moira & Regine also did the standing ovation if I'm remembering it right). But all in all the judges were basically in awe of her. Regine even said at the end that she is "disqualified" as a joke..it's like saying she's too good to be on the show. What Chito said to Gary V. when Ryssi was singing her original was that even the time signature she used was very technical, & he said later that this kid is crazy to be doing that, & Regine chimed in like yeah she is crazy. Chito also said to Ryssi that she is not just a singer but an artist.
I've watched other auditions of other contestants. But their reaction to Ryssi has been different..there's that calm and serene awe..you can feel the respect they feel for her as if they were talking to a pro who shouldn't even be a contestant on the show.

The fact that she's not new to the entertainment scene, with her performances on the Wish bus, and the connections she has in the industry, has not garnered her the opportunities she deserves, is absolutely horrible! The crab mentality that my fellow Filipino brethren tend to have when you do something they don't like or they don't agree with, is the most heart breaking aspect that exists. Ryssi is one of my top 5 favorite Filipina singers. I hope she wins to give those haters a good slap in the face!

@@guptaflavio5383 that's not true. Bugoy doesn't fit in that category, Jaya does not fit in that category. There are a few other artists that are considered kayumanggi/Moreno/ brown skinned, that are seen in a better light But because they have highlighted her personal life, and most Filipinos don't agree with her choices (i.e. being in a lesbian / same sex relationship) then she's frowned upon.
