They played this song literally after every death so the viewers will want to rip their hearts out whenever they hear the first note. And don't get me started on when they played it at the end. I can only imagine So's last days,all alone,roaming the halls of the palace and visiting where Soo's prayer tower used to be as well as where they used to meet up near the lake. I think this song was made specifically for the deaths of Eun and Lady Hae. Lady Hae died when the snow came and this song played. And Eun was promised that his wish would come true (of being with Hae Soo) when the snow came. However, the song started to play as he died. The lyrics suggest Eun's plot, "The wish which will become true when the first snow comes." Hae Soo told Eun that he would only have to wait until the first snow.

It's weird how even when I didn't know the lyrics of this song, I just knew it was heart breaking. In the beginning, when the person starts singing, all I feel is the loneliness and sadness from Scarlet heart... What an amazing singer and an amazing drama.
