- Becoming an APSI ski instructor means you get to be professionally recognized internationally as a ski instructor to work around the world the beautiful snowy winter wonderlands. Last winter season in Australia I took part in this challenge to become a certified ski instructor myself!! and it was quite the story ~ !!

You’re such a humble guy and brave to post this experience for others to see. Most people have this problem of putting their weight too far back on their ski tails. It compromises control and your quads get tired incredibly quickly. Lots of YT videos are out there on how to fix that. Basically you need to really be conscious of getting into a good stacked stance with center of mass forward over mid arch of foot instead of on your heels. You should feel constant pressure on your shins if done correctly. Also, during turns, start pressuring the outside ski early at beginning of each turn and maintain outside ski pressure. Those 2 things helped me the most. Hang in there. Good luck with your journey!

It's very easy to feel like the world is against us, but very hard to admit that maybe we make mistakes sometimes. Only when we admit that we messed up, we can learn and grow.

Haha weather in Australia is hectic. I did a ski season grooming/ building the terrain park at Mt. Hotham.
I'll be heading for the snow in Australia this year again!

I'm from Taiwan with no snow so I didn't start skiing until 6 years ago.
I've skied in winter season for three years. But there was a big time block cause of covid.
Then got back in when I started this season in Australia.
