I like the idea of maps putting mega cities in the wastelands full of everything you will ever need if you have the guts to go for it. Multiple book stores for any series not complete yet, multiple savage countries for all the legendary parts you will ever want, and every tier 5 poi in the game. I loved that athletics area, it was meant to be cleared by a sniper. And watching you stealth handle massive crowds, it makes me want to see the next series being full scale 80s action hero build. Full automatic weapons, a giant sledge or steel club to smash the swarms aside, the heaviest of armors designed to help avoid critical injuries, and just charging face first into armies of undead. "So my entire compass turned red from the sheer number of dots, so what? That just means my machine gun cant miss!" /brrrrrrrrrrt!
i absolutely love watching the stealth gameplay as well. inspires me to play slower myself
My issue is in 20 random gen worlds I did I turned on DB mode and opened locations 68% of the book stores were only in the wastelands major cities. I would like a bit more variety honestly. Currently I feel the need to rush a mini bike then just hitting the wasteland major cities and just looting these bookstores. I truly hate the crafting magazine system they introduced and I am a man who adores Korean rpg games for the insane grind they always have. RNG seems too prevalent in this game now.
It’s crazy watching someone go through the wasteland considering when I found the wasteland I turned right around and my map ended up with a chunk missing from the corner lol
@@jimdob6528Clearly you have never spent 4 weeks looking for a crucible. 😂 You just need to be selective with where you put your perks. Putting just perks into lockpicking, and your weapon of choice will get you an obnoxious weighting of books towards those series.
I like the evolution of the intros over the last couple of years.
Thanks! It really shifted back during the War of the Walkers series. That was really the end of the prolonged intros for me.
Tem, you really are a masterclass in editing, style and production. Much
Thanks Capp! Hope you are doing well 😊
Under Temreki's skin is a brilliant but frustrated film maker, screaming to get out. Also Temreki: "Let's steal everything from this dude and then sell it all back to him."
Wow. As long as you're patient enough for assassin gameplay, it's so strong in the POI's
Yeap... completed my T6 assassin armor with compound crossbow and night vision and essentially you can do a whole POI including trigger rooms without getting hit or even "seen".
And other youtubers and redittors complain about stealth being useless in PoIs because "zombies auto aim to you" but what they don't know is that a lot of the times it can be avoided. People really love to complain but Assasin armor is really good
I should probably try this and other styles of play. I just bring M60 and auto shotgun, and shed everything into pieces, which is fun but gets little bit mundane over time.
Man that horde at the theater was INTENSE. Imagine that as an infestation, gotta wonder if that's even doable
I forgot to look under the stage, I feel like 30 zombies came out of there...
@@GunsNerdsandSteel It was definitely a lot. Probably the most I've seen from any non-infestation T5.
The normal T5 quest already feels like it an infestation.
i got in the same spot as he was in and i almast gave up and said yep i'm dead lol
I did this recently, autoshotty and magnum. Felt like Burt Gummer.....completely out of ammo.
I was skeptical that stealth would be a viable build for tier 5/6 stuff. Seems that it is. Great video!
That's the thing about stealthing through those high tier POIs. Takes about a day and a half to get through them.
I'm not in any hurry. Having fun, exploring new POIs, and experimenting with a new playstyle are my priorities 😁
@@GunsNerdsandSteel of course. I really say that in case horde night is the next day and not really trying to rush getting back to the base. 👍👍
you think going loud will take less? especially when there like 75+ of them ?
More so in the wasteland. Going loud will draw in a ton of zombies from the outside, plus a duo of radiated screamers.. it will turn into a screamer cycle really fast
@@rudolfrudi5452yes, int/ fort build flattens them. Duel robotic turrets and a m60 makes short work of it, just find a good choke point and lay down the lead
Mr. GNS
Your playthrough has given you a better understanding of the stealthy actions of this game
Thank you
That near-death experience was harrowing!
t6 stealth makes zombies forget about you as soon as you break line of sight
Even on horde night.
@@MrMeatloafsndwch no not on horde night the zombies always path to you on horde night.
@@mjhrobson I have a build with lvl6 assassin gear and yes you do get sneak attacks on horde night.
@@MrMeatloafsndwch they weren't talking about sneak attacks. They were taking about sneaking away. Zombies follow you once they're aware of you. On horde night they always know where you are regardless if you're sneaking.
@@Tengokuchi for one to get a sneak attack a zombie must lose you. But I've gotten sneak attacks in 1.0 during horde night. So it seems they don't always path to you, they can lose sight of you.
Get a sniper rifle. It's amazing for this exact experiment. It's absolutely insane for killing at a massive distance very safely. If you get the AP ammo and enough perk points, you can actually open walls to get shots from quite the distance :) This is going to be my next experiment.
And to think I did a T6 Infested at that Minotaur Theatre. It was simply awful. Sooo many zombies. My character still has nightmares.
I'm planning to bring like 2k bullets with me for those infested jobs 😝
@@GunsNerdsandSteel at least, and all AP!
I can confirm this to, it's bad. Like really bad.
Could you even TELL that there were more zombies?? Lmao tems quest already looked infested did you see the amount of zombies he had to deal with AFTER clearing a ton out lol(rhetorical) I'm guessing it's like the part that almost killed him, but for every room/section right?
Stealth looks really good now, I like
It's about to get even better in the next episode 🤯
@@zedinator it's fun but starts VERY slow and impossible to stealth at the start...
Shadow mechanics are broken right now so you will struggle badly with hiding now unless you fully understand the stealth and shadow mechanics
@@GunsNerdsandSteel Ohhhhh I am intrigued very much. Tier 6 stuff??
Thats set bonus is crazy busted for how useful it is. Being able to lose zombie attention with a couple seconds of being out of los? Yes please!
@@GunsNerdsandSteelyou’re opinion on new trader Joel voice actor?
i was at the edge of my seat the whole episode man! when the music started my heartrate immediately going up haha. T6 level of editing!
One other thing I found when doing POI's in stealth, I try to avoid ladders, ropes, etc. but rather nerd pole in stealth mode (parkour level 2+) if possible and jump down crouching. Ladders and ropes do wake the sleepers nearby unfortunately but they will easily lose you though. I guess if they didn't wake on ladders, etc. the assassins' set would be totally OP vs. just a little OP. :)
'Could my day get any better?' The extact same words I said before dying on my permadeath run lol
Thank you for doing assassin outfit! I've been waiting to see the decreased search time in action and it's what I hoped it would be like. This means we can maintain sneak even if triggering a whole room. Awesome!
Since I'm catching the series rather irregularly, and haven't familiarized myself with v1.0 much yet, I'm gonna have to rewatch this whole series 😊
The armor set bonuses seem interesting and a way to encourage varied playstyles. Just wondering if there is a potential min-max approach for bonuses, should be interesting to find out.
My min-max approach is to have a mining set (to avoid having to take strength points), the nerd outfit for reading magazines, and preacher gloves. Those are my must-haves
He has a video breaking down what each armor item does and ranking them in his opinion as to usefulness. So you could watch that and take notes to decide what sort of build you are after. But in general there is a set of gear for every play style.
Yah, on another channel I was telling him Preacher gloves are great, but the Assassin full suit is untouchable. Agility is the 1.0 build.
I did a tier 5 clear today where there was a blip I couldn't find. I was like, "where the hell is it? I'm like right on top of it! Ugh..." and then I looked down. I was literally right on top of it, standing on it...
Auto shotgun goes brrrr
Screamer goes *scream* 😂
Another great episode! Can't wait to see how the sneaking goes with full Tier 6 gear
I love the level 6 complete set in POI. The moment the zombies lost line of sight from me, they’ll forget about me
This is the earliest I have ever been to a GNS video.
Your foray into the athletic center and Minotaur theater went a lot better than mine. I use all my ammo in my inventory in each POI and had to finish about half of the zombies in the final areas with melee, while standing on a wall or something. Almost dying multiple times. Keep the chaos and the content coming.👍🏼
I was REALLY leery when you started the series off leaning toward stealth and knives but you're making it work! Been a fun series to watch!
Good Morning Everyone!
Sunday funday. have a great day.
Hey, hi! Now in 1.0 you can hold Alt and Click on your inventory to set favorited slots, so they dont get sorted on your inventory, this could be good for ammo and healings =)
Those zombie bears can drop the red bags, definitely worth the time and ammo
I think that Mino is hardest new POI in game, did t6 recently without sneak and it was insane. POI zombies and screamer hordes just bursting on me, ended with every possible debuff in game I could get and burned insane amount of ammo. Grover High is also insane, but you can snack out loot from main stash easily, just break door outside.
I've been experimenting with the different armor types and their effectiveness in combat. My baseline is a Str build with sledges, and perception for sniper rifles. I run tier VI infested clears as loudly as possible pulling as many zombies at a time as I can using explosives, movement, etc. I tested the Preacher full set and the Raider full set. I have to say, the Preacher set held up nicely, but I did get down to about 80/160 health. The set is very good. The raider set was unbelievable. I ran the Crack A Book, running through all three top levels to pull everyone and the bottom 3 levels pulling everyone and the Raider set held up like a monster. I dropped to 137/161. It was a BEAST of a set. I plan to try out the other sets as well, but now that I've got to lvl 60+ and have almost all the books read, I don't know if the nerd helmet/chest combo is worth it any more. Reducing the chance of critical hits and being immune to stun is amazing with the raider set. I do miss the Biker boots for the stamina cost reduction, but only when I pull 50-60 at a time.
best 7dtd youtuber on the net
agree🔥
Wow that theater was intense. A very eventful episode. Great job Tem
Stealth is really an option in this edition. That wasn't really the case in the alphas.. so that's good.
I've seen people like Prebuilt using stealth effectively in older Alphas, but it was kind of tedious. Now it's too easy... lol
@@GunsNerdsandSteel Correct. It was usable but trigger rooms left you without defense. This is better now. But you're right, they might have overdone it.
A13 or 14 you could literally tap dance on a zombies head with stealth, the FP go all over the shop with stealth, sometimes it's OP, sometimes it sucks.
@@engineeringtheapocalypse - Trigger volumes are limited by their nature (they are computationally expensive) so they're usually only a few "unavoidable" blocks on entering a room NORMALLY. If you use frames or bypass the usual entry, you can often avoid them. The tricky part is recognizing those spots.....in the previous few alphas for stealth to be truly effective, you had to learn how to NOT set off the triggers. Knowing where they are for a given POI, or recognizing likely spots in POIs you don't know, and using that knowledge to bypass them worked very well. Still does. BUT, sometimes it takes WAY too much time to do that at every possible trigger point. I stealthed T5 POIs in alphas 19-22, with virtually NO zombie waking up and with almost zero risk......but it typically took me 2-3 DAYS to finish it. It was a VERY slow process, because if you messed up, you were in deep crap. Because being stealthy meant T6 padded or T6 Military with Adv. Muffled Connector mods in all the pieces (except the military stealth boots), and even with a Banded Armor Mod in each as well your protection was limited and you couldn't take many hits.
@@heliumphoenix I know. Learning POIs by heart is something that happens to us addicts ;-) ...
But as you explained, a lot of effort and prior knowledge was required and you couldn't really make up your errors. This is why I think it's more viable now - to the point of being too strong (breaking line of sight and immediately losing all zombies is a bit OP)
Thanks for showing your Loot Stage! ❤
This series is so damn good
I love the title screen for the wasteland very cool! Awesome job GNS!
You must have had a half a hit point at one point at the end because it showed 0 on your HP bar. Clutch bandage on your part tho.
This is the series that made me find you and subscribe good work keep it up
yes those new tier 5 are a swarm feast LOVE THEM
Keeping those intros PURE FIRE! Very captivating!
Man that theater was the most intense POI I've ever seen, and the reward was so MEH! Well done mate, cheers cobber.
The Minotaur was pretty gnarly in all the right ways. I gotta say, the undead coming outta the floor access had me instantly hearing one of the oldest gaming lines I can remember: *"RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE!"*
Tem, yer makin me anxious! 😅Also, that theater seemed excessive.
Cheers on the great episode! 🍻
Good job on the minataur - i did that as a T6 a couple days back, and it kicked my ass, i wasn't doing stealth though, should try that next time!
I can't imagine doing these places without stealth now...
If I had to kill this many zombies by traditional means (full auto firearms, explosives, etc.) I'd probably clear them out a lot faster. But the heat generation would create a cycle of screamers that would complicate the whole operation, not to mention having to face down a dozen rads at once.
Another great video in the books! More please!
The other legendary part should either wait for a t6 smg or get t6 nerd armor, 50% chance to double skill mags is a massive boon!
I have over a dozen before the 2nd horde so they aren't that hard to find, you just have to loot literally everything
I had just said "oh man, he's knocking out all of them, he won't have but a couple on the last rush!" Then you cane across the hatch in the floor! The gasp I gasped!! 😂😂
That theater hands down is my favorite POI now. I like doing the missions there. It’s tough but also it’s a skill points farm with the elixir and nerdy goggles.
Amazing video my friend. 🫡
Holy crap I was one of the zombies!!!! 36:12
Keyword was you got sent to the upper room .....again
THIS JOY, when i see new vanguard episode! Can't wait to watch it!
38:10😲 that escalated quickly
That was close! With 2,000 hours ingame, I also play the game quite calmly, but in that one situation I don't know if I wouldn't have messed it up... Good video! 😁
WHOO, I thought for a sec when you were grabbing that shovel at 39:20 you were about ready to dig your own grave! Wowsa. That one's scary as heck!
I didn’t know about that secret area!
Well that was fun. You will need that extra legendary part for the smg tier 6 ;)
You are the third creator I've watched that has found a lonely crossbow bolt floating in the air...
@@dariangraey9897 who’s the other 2?
@@exquisiteking5257 It's been a few days but if I think one was Liz from More2Me 4Life, the other was a random creator that popped up in my suggested videos. But I currently have 11 creators followed that contribute 7 Days content so really it could have been any of them. The first time it was mentioned I thought lucky find, the second video I wondered if it was a save glitch, then GNS had it too...
There could be a Crack a Book. Minutes before not taking a quest to a Crack a Book. Yeah i think there definitelly is a one :D
My first legendary part spent went into a Tier 6 pistol, which looks like it will work really well with an assassin setup.
I don't regret it one bit. The pistol can handle any zombie and generates almost 0 heat so I don't have any screamers to deal with.
The pistol is extremely quiet when silenced. The Desert Vulture is louder, even when silenced. How much more, with full perks and top-tier Assassin gear I have yet to determine. I'm getting close. I'm hoping with full Assassin armor at Q6 that the silenced Dulture will still be usable at 4 to 5 blocks distance without waking other Z's. The regular Pistol can be used at almost point blank without waking a nearby Z, as long as it is a single shot. Unfortunately, even with full perks and Q6 Pistol with 4 mods, its still not enough to take out most feral zombies with a single stealth headshot. The Dulture should be able to easily double to triple the damage of the Pistol, so if it's not excessively more noisy, it should make the Assassin build much more competent. I'd hate for the Dulture to be relegated to "horde night only" status because it's just too loud, even silenced.
i thought for sure you would die in there....but you pulled it off...great job...
Did not know about the secret Trader Joel living area. Thanks for showing that.
That Wasteland transition was just great, I love your production on these.
I have been stealth also and loving it. I usually go loud and proud. Totally different play style for me.
Man the couch cushions got consumed on that one 😆
In my current stealth game on day 40, during the day I wear lvl 6 scavenger outfit (+10 backpack), preacher gloves (+60% damage to undead) and nomad boots (+20% run speed) and usually the rogue hood. Then, I also carry the nerd helmet for reading books, minors outfit for mining (optional) and at night or during a quest swap to a full lvl 6 assassin set and have the book to open all backpack slots. All fully max modded with noise reduction and speed increases, lights, where possible along with water purification mods in all the helmets. Seems to be a great combinations for both day and night and it's so cool to see the 99 (!) % "become hidden" faster. Like you were saying, you can shoot them over and over (espc at night) and they don't even know they are being attacked. I carry them all with me either on my person or motorcycle cause I'm terrible at remembering to bring stuff. Maybe someone knows of a better combination for swapping to and from stealth but so far this has been great.
Tip, when you sprint sneaking you'll notice the eye detection bar will go 0 when equip t6 assassin's set you can even knife them so close, even face to face, as long it's night though
Yup that's exactly what happens in the next episode 💪😈
i love the flash forward shots haha
a couple urban combat books and stealth books I believe aid in truly becoming a ghost to zombies at least for now lol also some advice anything that causes bleed damage will make the said zombie know where you are until the bleeding effect stops then you can hide from them again
That bleed thing is good to know ... I am just getting into a stealth build with compound bow and machete, gonna have to be careful with the machete.
Thanks.
How much AP ammo and steel xbow bolts were expended to be offered 1 Shepards pie upon you return? what a joke. The rest of the rewards were total ass as well. That is completely unacceptable for a tier 5 of that magnitude in the wasteland (radiated/demo etc). Balancing trader missions is fine, but they have went waaaay too far the other way.
That steel crossbow bolt is a bug that has been around for a long time. Worst thing about it is those bolts are solid, and if you hit it with a vehicle it's like slamming into a brick wall.
This series has gotten me to try out 1.0.
Thanks for another great gameplay!
I legit thought you weren't going to make it when you were cornered on those stairs. Well Played.
I recently died doing the theatre infested, well kind of. Finished the quest and was looting when a wondering horde full of rads decided to wonder on in and have their way with me
Zombie: Ends up with an arrow in the head.
Also zombie: Must have been a wind.
stealth seems kool but for me i would rather kick in the door in my heavy armor with my shock stick and face tank lol. my roommate is doing the stealth route and he hates clearing stuff with me now. anyway great vid.
If you do another agility playthrough I would like to see a linear horde base with you using the desert vulture, since the full magnum enforcer book set gives 44 weapons the ability to pierce multiple zombies making it a really strong horde base weapon.
Tem is talking about savage Country, a clothing shop and passes right by a laundry mat.
I just unlocked the Gyrocopter last night. Got excited to make it then rolled off my roof into a horde because I thought it was going to take off straight up like a Heli. Once you figure it out it makes the traveling so much better though.
man! I can't believe you did that by yourself. TGG did it with a crew and they barely made it through the theater
Too bad it's already too late in the series to add some of Khaine's modlets, for example Dangerous Cities. Combined with maps like New York, it turns difficulty to 11.
I use it and put it in a savegame and is going well. Nothing broken so GNS could use it if he wants to.
you started the theater with like 18 or 19 crossbow bolts, I'm surprised you didn't run out sooner o.o
Obliviously sleep walking through all the action is on-brand for me.
I totally startled when you said aj cause I was looking at something else for a second and was like ‘what about an aj now?’ followed very closely like ‘Im only 31 Tem don’t call me old’ (grandpa aj isn’t me but still couldn’t stop the thought train😂) lmao
I thought you were a goner when you got surrounded. Nicely done!
The theater was insane!
Good stuff, thanks!
In this episode, Tem goes full Skyrim stealth archer... "must have been the wind..." :D
There you go those crack a books are going to sky rocket your progression
Short lived kamikaze steve, you will be remembered
12:54 Not on your compass as a quest kill, maybe the "sleep walkers" are just normal spawns
Interesting observation 🤔
to be honesdt, for horde night u might wanna use damaging setups rather than assasin... cause u cant sneak anyhow during hordes ;D
Actually, when V1.0 first dropped, while horde night zombies WILL know where you are when they spawn, and move to reach you at Horde Night speed, they CAN lose you with full assassin gear and sufficient stealth. Not as fast as regular times, but I got stealth damage on some horde night zombies.....not many, but it IS possible.
@@heliumphoenix yeah, but as u say it, u probably also realise that it isn´t worth it
I'm not sure, but the rain coming through non cube blocks might be related to the problems you were having in the Horde Every Night series with cops being able to see you through non cube blocks and trying to spit at you through them. Probably something to do with the alpha masking on those blocks making them seem invisible to certain game systems.
I was on the edge of my seat with that one, and a great choice with the backing track in the theatre. Talk about intense.
I am wondering though... How would feral sense affect the benefits of the assassin armor set?
That's a great question, I think feral sense just affects detection distance though? So usual detection range is like 35 but feral sense is 70 meters?
That theater was nuts.
My intellect/agility build is crushing day 53 so far only died once in the early game to a sneaky mountain lion. Although just did my first tier 5 in wasteland even at night no problem smg, desert vulture, auto shotgun, and stun baton are so good
Lovely! Been watching you since my friends kinda gave up on the game
It’s super worth getting the t6 nerdy amour!! It goes from 25% bonus chance to 50%! Definitely worth the one legendary part:)
Dang was hoping you would get that special spawn inside that end loot room in the athletic conplex. Oh well eventually it will happen.
I have also been noticing stealth being very buggy in favor of the player with this patch. Having no bonuses to stealth I could get noticed by a zombie, walk up to them, then crouch and get a sneak attack with melee.
People always used to complain about stealth being broken (in terms of being useless) but now it's broken in the other direction - it's OP
I have found so many floating arrows and bolts. Even before this update. It’s always weird because they are usually in areas I hadn’t been before.
