Led Zeppelin the only performers classified as Gods. Four greatest musicians ever assembled in one band.
They not God's
@@rogermeadowstaylor3256 rock gods yes actual gods no
they are god's ; all the other gods are made up
@@andrewallen3826 yeah buddy...tell em....
@@rogermeadowstaylor3256 They are definitely Gods ! You missed the boat - there's always a few who do, but it's ok lil' buckaroo.
Truly they were not from planet Earth ... The greatest band ever ...
Led Zeppelin opened and was captivating from the start and just kept pulling us in. Creative, experimental, music genius, and had that it factor song after song.
Okay I think you're ready for it now. 1973" Dazed and Confused" live at Madison Square Garden. 26 minutes of unbelievable guitar , mind blowing bow work , thunderous drums and rapid beat with John Paul Jones bumping on the bass .it's a must see.The ESP kind of improvision throughout is unlike anything you have ever seen. It is probably the best live recorded song that has ever been done by any band. Just one of many reasons why they are the greatest band to ever grace the stage. they were then, they are today and they will forever be tomorrow, 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘💯💯💯💯🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🥁🥁🥁🎹🎹🎹🎤🎤🎤🎤
And the fantasy sequence with the wizard-hermit is a blast!!!
Yeah he's ready...here's the link...

I agree, peak Led Zeppelin performance.
@@alexzman yes this kids face will melt off!!!!!
Totally! And from the same performance, No Quarter. In fact, the whole concert!!!
I love the story regarding Robert Plant who was married, had a child and was 19 yrs old. He and his wife agreed that if his singing career didn’t work out by his 20th birthday, he would go into teaching. He auditioned for Jimmy Page prior to his 20th birthday, was hired, and the rest is Rock and Roll history!
4 monsters. None is better than the other.
The key to led zeppelin.
You Know back in the 60's there were no computers or the technology we have today....artist and musicians had to make up different sounds using their instruments, always experimenting with other objects and their instruments to make the right type sounds that expressed or add to the song. Here is Led Zeppelin like other groups of that day....doing this.
As a musician myself whon never sought fame, I totally agree. They had to improvise & learn their craft, recordings were done in one take as studio time cost money most bands just couldn't afford to make a mistake & do another take. They played the shitty little bars & took the abuse etc & put in their full apprenticeships. This song is based on The Hunter sung best by the Brit band Free, later Bad Company with Paul Rodgers on vocals in both bands,
On guitar Jimmy Page…wreeeeeaaaaahhhhhh……& the rest is history 🎶🎸🔥🎼🇬🇧🎤🎹🥁🪶GOAT!
I appreciate that you do some of the Zeppelin material no one else is doing. Keep up the good work.
yes, I*m so glad that parts of the young generation starts to love LZ like we old ones keep doing it. Thank you very much
Bonzo beating those drums like they owe money...................pure greatness!
The audience was 100% not prepared for this performance. 😏😏😏
This was recorded on 17th March, 1969 at Radio Danmark in Copenhagen, so Robert and Bonzo were 20 (the record version was recorded in October, 1968). They already had all the tools, the chops, the tricks, the ability, the VOICE... it took another 3 years to gain the charisma that they carry to this day. Good on you, Pope for sticking with them. PS It was a cello bow, more sturdy than a violin bow. Peace and be safe.
😮This is bad ass as always I'm now 65 now.. I was ten years old.. please believe me.. im not kidding and this was my favorite song and band when the (ZEPPELIN)came out with there first album came out in sixty nine......
Long live THE MIGHTY ZEPPELIN!!
At this time in music, no mom or dad was ready for this, there was absolutely no music like this, until, the mighty Zeppelin came on scene. Rock history was made. My older brother still has a bow from a show he went to..when you hold it,you can still feel Jimmy's greatness..
Just imagine turning up to this show, their first show, & being slapped in the face with this, when no one else on the planet was doing anything like it in 1969.
You can see why they became one of the 'Pillars of Rock'.
As others have stated, the next video should be 'Dazed & Confused' ( the 29 minute version) from the MSG show in 1973. (The Song Remains The Same)
That's why the crowd is just sitting there with their jaws hanging down. 😄😄
@@snakeinthegrass7443 Exactly!!
Early show , but not their first . I have a murky but good performance from late 1968 . Seattle or Vancouver ... somewhere around there . Page used to bill them as the NEW YARDBIRDS . The other Yardbirds probably put a stop to that ...
@@jameskennedy721 Probably Gold Creek Dome in Woodinville, WA, or Green Lake. My brother went and I was pissed because I was "too young".
@@terraflow__bryanburdo4547 There is a soundbaord from the Texas Pop Festival that is as good as it gets . I mainly like the 1968 show because the drums are louder than anything else in the mix . But the general quality of sound is pretty ragged . The film of the Yardbirds doing " Im Confused " is sort of a missing piece , too . I even had a whole album by the folk singer who wrote the song , but it was pretty average .
They were brand new, it’s like watching something give birth!!!
We just know in '69 the people in that crowd were like...WHAT THE F**K DID I JUST HEAR???? 🤯🤯🤯🤯😂❤❤
for me, this is their best live performance...
The most amazing thing about this video is the kids in the audience not moving.
You can’t find any bands that have the best bass vocals drums and guitarist in the entire universe
These 4 young lads started it all...no one ever came close.
This was one of the very first concerts...you should watch the whole thing. Page and Bonham were only 19 or 20 here
Page was 25 in this video. He is the oldest of the band. Plant and Bonzo are the youngest, probably 19 while making this.
Those kids in the audience were so confused haha
Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time
It's so nice to see the musicianship 6 months into the formation of the group! Unmatched
Four prodigies inventing nuclear sonic fission.
I'm agree with the other comments you are now ready for Dazed and Confused live at MSG. 😎
At this performance Robert had just turned 20
Robert Plant and John Bonham were both 19 years old when this was filmed… HUH? 😳
These boys used to make me almost stop breathing. So much talent.
God, i love that telly.- no other guitar sounds like that specific telecaster. So in-your-face jangly and awesome!
I remember first time I watched this. High AF. Holy friggin’ moly.
Bonham hitting that kit like it owes him money
Master musicians - all! This is the level of improvisation, musicianship, groove and fabulous riffs after only playing together for 6 months at this point. I've been a fan since late 1968 and loved your reaction. Will be subscribing to follow your other reactions! Thank you
you're a true Renaissance man... Listening to/watching "How many more times" by Led Zeppelin at your age is revealing. EDIT: Cello Bow, not Violin bow, too small.
Peace.
They were a combination like no other. How do you even decide who was best?
Very few musicians are on this level....put them together they are the 5th element
Your appreciation for classic rock has made me realize that I really haven't appreciated this music I've been listening to for over 40 years. I've never seen anyone get into music the way you do. I absolutely love it! You always bring a smile to my face. Thanks for sharing this ride with us. 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
I was 15 and it feels like only yesterday listening to the GOATS!!!!
Greatest rock band EVER. Jimmy shreds it
Your such a Cool cat loving our Zep..
Ha ha ha, yeah after 50 years of listening to Led Zeppelin I still react the way you are at times. Can you imagine being at the show? These people were not ready for this and I’m sure they never forgot it.. keep up the great work I really enjoyed it pope ☮️❤️
Love 💕 watching you get off on this…..” My favourite band growing up and still is…..🛸🛸✨✨guitars for life ✈️✈️🛰️🏍️🏍️🏕️🎸🎸🎸🎸♟️🎸🎸
Not too bad for a 20 year old drummer and singer!
U can better oldman? I doubt..fart if only .
Robert was 19 yrs old. Incredible.
@@monarhistzadoya4014 it’s sarcasm…
What you are hearing is why so many Hip Hop artists sample them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love all the proper respect..LZ The GOAT! JS.
When you see everyone playing like this this is where they got it from
I've been a Zeppelin collector for decades now. Every month I would go to record conventions to see what videos live recordings I could pick up. I remember when a guy who sold video came up with this 30 + years ago everyone was amazed as a group of up stood at his booth watching this new video. I've seen Page in various different bands with the violin bow 20 or more times and each times I was absolutely amazed.
Oh yeah , the IM CONFUSED performance from some TV show is an interesting preview of things to come . Page with the Yardbirds . Im sure you already know all about it -
No Quarter live from Madison square garden 1973... So euphoric in my opinion
The Mighty Led Zeppelin..A Zeppelin is a blimp think good year blimp…Legend has it the drummer for The Who Keith Moon when asked by Jimmy Page the Guitarist here what he thought of his band the New Yardbirds Moon said this band would go over like a Lead Zeppelin because he thought the band would fail and so They renamed the band Led Zeppelin and the rest is history…
Been a minute since I've seen this, and remembered that this was in their infancy (as a collaboration) and dumbfounded by how much more there was to come...
How Many More Times from Royal Albert Hall 1970 is unbelievable!
they were inventing rock music right there
Then there came Guns n Roses ACDC Queen
Haha same here, i love blues/rock also early jazz blues, old r&b , soul, regaae etc 😁👍
Jimmy was the anchor of the band. Do the studio version. Before, he started Led Zeppelin-he was a top backup for the other groups. Please check out the great Jeff Beck. Rip.
compare this song to the performance of 1970. only one year later ( royal albert hall) 20 min. long. It will blow you away for sure!! It' s on youtube since 2 days...
How many more Times! Raw, Explosive😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
BONHAM WAS A BEAST
can you imagine the cahones it took to go on live television when nobody knows who you are and drop this
"Little Robert Anthony wants to, come and Play. Why don't you come to me Babe, Steal Away"
"My, my, my Rosey!"
You need to see this hole session. I think it's there very best live performance
from 1968-1974 they were unstoppable.then Robert got laryngitis, jimmy started to flirt with heroin, bonzo started drinking and jonesy got bored.................they got their shit together at knebworth................THE GREATEST BAND.................EVER
This made my morning coffee so much better!! Lol
This video illustrates why so many fell in love with Led Zeppelin. Note Robert Plant is introducing the band to the crowd!
Look at them, just look.... I mean.... and look at you loving them! GREATNESS all around!
Robert Plant & John Bonham were 19 years old at this time.
Its so great watching you see these songs for the first time. Please do dazed and confused live from the song remains the same concert. Warning, its 29 minutes long! and about a 26 minute guitar solo. But jimmy had the bow thing perfected by then. It will blow your mind, no doubt. I know you did the song already. You wouldnt believe how that song progressed.
Dazed and Confused by them is like a T-Rex coming up your street- we were so shocked and blown away by their sound when we first heard it.
That was amazing , hott band , Robert Plant is my rock God , I love his singing , they are the best , thank you much , I was jammin with you , thanks
Yeah , thank you
Thank you much
Not God's
So young here and so obvious how big they would become
Hey now. Should of played the album version. You are missing out on how everyone first experienced this gem!
Dammmmmm
214 times.
Actually I think he made the right choice. This whole performance on Danish tv is zeppelin at Their absolute best before drugs and a ridiculous touring schedule damaged Roberts voice and impaired Jimmy's playing.
While I don't think that's bad advice, I love them live because of their dynamics and improvisation stretching these songs out. Really brings out the skill and creativity of the band. I prefer the studio version of since I been loving you so I get it though.
That's what it is!
This was if im not mistaken Led Zeppelins introductive performance to the World of Rock & Roll in which they would become the Demi God Kings of for perpetuity
You need to listen to babe I’m gonna leave you from this same performance, plant’s voice is incredible
Man you be lucky bro you tube doesn’t let most up load this one. Love it….
What a jam. I love how they got themselves in a hole and dug themselves out, just by trusting the other person was right there with them
Hey Pope, you should check out the Royal Albert Hall version of how many more times . It’s great to see how the song evolved on stage. Have a wonderful day☮️
Love your reaction. Your awesome
Love this video because you can see Bonzo and Jimmy page playing off each other perfectly. Also the genius of Bonham is on full display.
Cool of Kool 😎
Jimmy an Robert singing a duet!
Incomparable
They were around 20 years old. Has anyone else rocked that hard?
Saw them 4 years later. Damn I'm old 😁 Got to see the great bands though 💙
Hello hun, great song baby , good taste
Thank you much
Great reack
Led Zeppelin. Still blowing minds in 2021
Little tribute to Jeff Beck here... that Telecaster Page is playing was a gift from Jeff Beck, in thinks for Page recommending Beck for the role as The Yardbirds guitarist after Eric Clapton quit the band in 1965. Page was their first option, but he was still enjoying the fruits of being England's premier session guitarist (and building up an arsenal of ideas that he took with him to Zeppelin). The band liked Page's recommendation and hired Beck, who gifted Page with that guitar as thanks. The year later, 1966 Page also joined the Yardbirds, initially as bassist and soon joining Beck in a dual lead-guitar line-up that only lasted a few months in 1966, until Beck was sacked for being too temperamental and unreliable. The band's only album with Page turned out to be their last gasp and the band imploded in 1967 leaving Page wanting more. So he got together replacements and called the new band The New Yardbirds, which fulfilled contractual tour obligations for Scandinavia and the UK in 1968 before being forced to drop the moniker by Yardbirds singer Keith Relf. So the band changed their name to Led Zeppelin, and did this. This recording is indeed one of their earliest televised appearances, recorded in Copenhagen in March 1969, when the band was only six months old.
Remarkable that plant and bonzo were only 21 years old here.
Exactly!! Not a bad song in the catalog. Listen to all of them. Thanks for the reaction.
Robert was 20!
No words ❤
You said it all!
This film seems to suggest that Page was playing better in 1969 than in 1973 when the SONG REMAINS show was filmed . A serious rival to Hendrix . The song - with a slightly different title - is by blues legend HOWLIN WOLF Burnett . This is probably the best filmed performance of JOHN BONHAM . Watch how he slams his drum kit around ...
Raw..uninterrupted..unfiltered...unintensified....unaltered... straight through the amp..off the drumheads...thumping bass boomed...out of Roberts voice box and into the speakers... electric blues. This early 1969 talent puts ALL groups today in SHAME! Shame on you all! I am so proud and lucky not only to grow up with them, at the same age as them, but to have met Pagey in 1967 ..loaned him a Kool menthol cigarette during a break outside (Yardbirds with Jeff Beck), and see Zep live in 1975 after hitch hiking to California from Indiana with my ole lady . Peace.
have to remember there just coming out of the 60s no one has ever heard anything like this elvis beetles guys like that all you heard lol it didnt go over well in there country they had to come to america to get big and still this kind of rock sound was un heard of closest was maybe joplin and hendrix was as hard as it got
Your’s are my favorite Led Zeppelin reactions.
glad you enjoy the reactions 🌟
They were inspired by old Mississippi delta blues.
Hey this band is pretty good, I hope they make it big one day
