Kpop has always delied on downloads. What are you talking about? Infact digital sales right now has decreased compared to back then. Back in 2010-2011 songs used to have 3-4mil DL, now they barely break 2mil. The reason why old Kpop don't have views is because internet wasn't as readily available, cheap nor was YT popular back then compared to now. Gen Z, the digital generation is the reason why Kpop now have high amount of views. People who liked Kpop during 2010-2011 and before that have now grown up so they don't have time to refresh views anyway.
lots of us don't even bother with the endless streaming, like why listening to a song so much that you will end up disliking it or find it annoying for what? some record that is going to be taken over at next comeback... I enjoy the comebacks with watching the live performances on repeat rather than the mv since I like to see what new choreography there now has been made :)
