Also, just to be super clear on this! We would have been equally as thrilled if baby was a boy! It was emotional because the surprise was (what we thought) "ruined" and when you go through infertility and conceive via IVF... any GOOD surprises are few and far between. It's just fun to celebrate these little milestones that we spent years dreaming of. Boy or girl, this baby is loved in every way... I can promise you that. ♥️
If it was me and I had that happen to me I would verify with another ultrasound technician just to be completely safe but that’s just me I don’t want no surprises at the end especially if you bought all things girl or all things boy and ended up opposite genders but that’s just me I would always do a back up plan in that situation if it ever happened to me
You guys are SUPER FANTASTIC PARENTS and DESERVE THESE BLESSINGS 😍😍🙏🏽🌞🌞
I'm thrilled for you both. Looking forward to all videos always!
I just remembered Caleb making a few cooking videos. I would like more of them. They were very entertaining. Praying for your family.
Congrats!!! So happy for you all! Such a cute story!
Excited to see new baby girl and the new room remodels 😊❤️
I also love flower names. Lily, Violet, Poppy, Daisy, they always conjure up a happy thought when you say them!
To quote Rachel "that's a dangerous game." I'm glad you aren't disappointed.
It happened to me yesterday got told it was a boy for months and bought everything for a boy now my son, is actually confirmed a girl by the doctor in a huge hospital...so now I am so sad feels like my son died but it was always a girl 😢🥺
Me and my sister were always "the girls" too and our brother was referred to by his name. I like shorter names to go with Nova like maybe Isla, Thea, Grace or Niamh ("Neev"). I'm sure whatever you choose will be beautifully fitting 💕
Good to see you in more vids with your lovely girlies Caleb 🙂
It will be a story to tell both girls when they’re older 🥰
It's funny you mentioned this! We are having twins that are both girls and multiple times the techs have said he and they correct themselves and say they for some reason say he alpt even when knowing the gender!
I’m so excited for you! Do they have 3 d ultrasounds in Canada? I’m thinking just in case you want a definitive answer. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi from NZ again, I had five Beautiful wee babies, and my Grandmother said to call the chosen name from the main part of your home as you will call the name many times obviously. I found it worked well, as some names sound good but don't flow easily when calling everyone.
You are so going to get another ultrasound, I can feel it in my bones 🤣
It's such a smart idea to think about how their names will sound together when referring to them - and perhaps you can avoid always saying "the girls".
Difficult to do with same gender sibs but if the sounds roll along well I think it
helps their names being heard more frequently! It never occurred to me to think about that with my 2nd daughter but their names ended up rolling so
beautifully together after the "and".
A few names I love that come to mind while being different enough (and w/no rhyming syllables), not over-used I think, and that come easily after Nova are:
June, with the darling nickname Junie, Ivy, Sylvie (Sylvia), Cleo, and Iris.
I also love Eleanor/Evie, Willa, Lila, and Adele (but too close to Ellie, Willa/Lila A ending too singsong after Nova, and then..Nova's middle name!).
We had 2 boys a year apart from one another and although, my extended family wanted us to have a girl and boy combo, my husband and I wanted our first son, to have a brother to play with. Honestly, it could not have worked out better!! They are the best of friends, but incredibly different! They balance each other out so perfectly 💙 Now we are due with our last baby, a baby girl, in August💕 We are done! Whether it had been a boy or girl, we still would of been done, this pregnancy has been veryyyy tough from the beginning ! All the best to you both and Nova will love having a sister to play with 🎀
Congratulations again on having another girl you have been great parents to Nova and your second daughter will be very lucky to have you as her family
You don't have anymore ultrasounds? I find that so odd. In a totally routine pregnancy, my insurance allowed us to have ultrasounds at the confirmation appointment, 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 20 weeks, 28 weeks, and 36 weeks. With both of my pregnancies I ended up with ultrasounds at every visit because I was high risk and had many complications, but I still think you should have at least one ultrasound towards the end to determine baby's placement and form a birth plan.
Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿, I love the name Teegan, it means "Beautiful" in Welsh.I called my daughter Teegan Rose, it translates to Beautiful Rose. Original spelling is Tegan, but I've also seen it spelt Teagan, I myself like the two E's.
I don't think the tech did it intentionally but what a funny/sweet surprise 💕
Awe nova getting a big girls room that’s exciting 💕💕
You guys are so cute! I know whatever this baby is it will be loved beyond measure. ❤
I would love names that go well together soundwise. Like Nova & Lucia [pronounced: Lou-See-Yah], Nova & Emery, Nova & Mika (prodounced Mee-kah), Nova & Talulah, Nova & Bree, Nova & Quin, Nova & Brailyn/Braylin, Nova & Juna (pronounced You-nah) ♥ Greetings From Germany to Baby, sissy and you guys :) ♥
I love the name Emma Marie. I think it goes well with Nova Dell
About the clothes. My older born February , younger born August and she is growing much faster than her older sister so she wore everything after her older sister. Older is 3 years old and 29lbs younger is 20 months and 28lbs
For the name I like Elena, Cecilia, Anita and my daughters Alyssa and Maya
Congrats!!! I love Luna, Poppy, Paisley and Everley. I have 4 girls and then 24 years later adopted our son through foster care. I ALWAYS called..."Girls!!!!". Now I say " Girls!!! I mean kids!!!" 😂
Before you do the nursery get that second ultrasound 😂😂 my boy was a “ girl” at the beginning
😂😩🙈
Hey! On what week were you told a girl in the ultrasound ? On my 26 week one doctor said I think Its a girl but on 31 week another doctor said its impossible to see the genitals because of baby bum.
@@hafsagul5468 so what u deliver boy or girl
@@pinksaltWB hey. I delivered a beautiful baby girl. For whole of my pregnancy she wasn't showing her genitals. She is 9 months old now Alhumdulillah.
@@hafsagul5468 I'm 6 months pregnant in 5th months doctor told me it's a boy and now she said it's a girl but I want boy do dua for me any miracle happens and I deliver a baby boy 🙏😭🙏😭🙏
I'm due in 2 weeks with our first girl and we have chosen the name Luna 🌙 but I think Nova and Luna go so well together ❤☺🥰😊🙈 would not mind at all if you used Luna too!! Hehe
Get a 3D ultrasound!!!! It’ll be fun and you’ll know for sure!!!! Fiona was my favorite name for a girl. But I had two boys!!!
Oh and the new bed too 👍👏👏
I am currently pregnant with our little donor embryo baby, and at our 7 week ultrasound last week the tech continually called baby a he! And obviously we would be overjoyed after so many years of trying no matter what we have, but we are definitely hoping for a girl first, so I wanted to be like "Hey! That's not been proven yet!!" Our donors said the same thing happened with their girls too - I think for some reason people are just in the habit of referring to them as boys!
I'm so excited that you're having a girl! Some names I love are Aura/Aurora, Sage, Margo/Margaret, Jade, Eloise, Olivia. I hope these were helpful!
The girl names I liked were Briar and Lennon. I also think Skylar is cute and would go with Nova :)
I told you a few weeks ago baby was a girl! I’m an ultrasound tech and I’ve never been wrong using the nub theory! Your baby’s 12 week shot was clear as it gets! I usually tell my patients at their 12 week scan what the gender is if they want to find out 💕
Can u see my scan...
Some times doctor said its girl.. sometimes says boy... can u see my scan.. I want to send u
can you see my scan
Abigail is a good name! ❤️💞
Might sound crazy but my sister told me to ask the baby what it's name is and see what comes up. X
Our ultrasound tech slipped! But it actually ended up being the gender she said. I’m having my third boy! I’m so happy but we were kind of disappointed that she ruined the surprise 😕
I feel like everyone has heard of the nub theory. I'm super surprised your tech didn't know what that was. One thing is not believing it, one thing is never having heard of it. Wondering how much experience she has. I would be doubting her judgement too!!
I’m team healthy baby! You guys this happens more than we think of it’s not uncommon for them to get the gender wrong! Do another ultrasound to be safe!
I have no clue why but Chelsea popped into my head
Ultrasound techs shouldn’t do that. Anyway, thrilled you’re having another girl💖💕💖
Ava or Eva would be cute seen as they go well with Nova because of the A sound at the end of the names xx
Evie 😺
Beautiful people gorgeous family ❤️ xxxx
I love the name Aisys 💞 I've never heard of this name
I have 4 girls; ages 9, 12, 15 and 18. When they love each other it’s amazing, and when they don’t like each other it’s ..... hard.
Name suggestions
Luna, Emma, Stella
(Those were the first that came to mind when I said your names together lol.)
I heard of family with adult children that don’t get along.
@@jackiewong5108 ok....?
Aurora to go with sky theme or Lilah because it is cute
Many times techs and doctors will always refer to one gender, instead of saying "it." It happens all the time, it's a 50/50 chance that the tech or doctor would actually be right.
I wonder if the tech has sons. I have a son and I catch myself saying “he” a lot even when I’m referring to a girl. Mom brain! 😅
Totally possible!!
Same here!
I don't think anyone thought that you'd be less thrilled if it was a boy, so please don't worry about that. We have seen what you have gone through just to get pregnant.
And ofc you should go shopping ;). It'll be fun to see you prepare for baby sister.
I’ve always liked the name Hannah 😊
Be cute if you named her star. Because you have a nova. Kinda like the gifts from heaven.
Caris/Carys/Keris
Meaning: Welsh name for love; grace. OR. Cara/Carina
Meaning: Latin name for cherished; beloved; pure
Cara is also an Irish name meaning friend
Hi guys I am so happy can't wait to meet baby girl 2 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Hi Nova🎈love you all💓💞
I waited to find out my second baby's sex until birth. A few weeks or so before giving birth I fell and needed an us to check everything was okay, the technician said 'he' partway through and I thought.. oh my... did they slip up?!??
A month or so later I had baby and there wasn't a penis. I was so shocked!
I have two girls too 💕😊
Nevaeh Would sound really nice with nova
Funnt you mention this. I had an ultrasound just yesterday (I am 36 weeks) Before she started I told her please do not say anything if she “saw” anything. We then got to talking and she actually mentioned that she found that most ultrasound techs say HE out if habit. She caught herself twice saying as she was walking through the scan.
Elora is a cute name rae dunn at tjmaxx in the states has some cute girl clothes
Love this name!
Oh okay
omg CALEB GET JOHNNY
Chloe Madeline! Katherine that’s my sisters name
With my 2nd we didn't want to find out the sex. We told the tech and she said before starting the scan that "he" is her go to pronoun and if she slips up and says it not to take it any way. She ended up only saying baby thankfully. Also for a girls name, I love the name Josie, Eloise, Margot, and Gwen
Stella or Luna ❤
I love the name Gianna Rose because when she’s little she can go by “GiGi” and if she likes “Gia” when she’s older. ❤️
As a Ultrasound tech I always say baby and he or she regardless of what the gender is. I might say he or she multiple times during the scan. I’m truly not focused on the baby’s gender while doing scans. I focus on the more important things. I’ve been trying to make it a habit of using the pronouns they/them. There’s no malice or trying to ruin the surprise for the parents to be. No one is trying to trick you or ruin the surprise. I promise.
With my first baby we found out in such a crappy way lol. I kept calling my ob asking if our NIPT results were back and I finally got a call back from a doctor saying everything looks good except “I’ve never seen this but it says ‘no result’ for monosomy x” so of course I was like ummmm oh.. that’s turners so uhhh Does that mean it’s a girl? He said oh it could still be either so I had my husband find out first for sure. but it stunk to have the hint and also in a weird way. But she turned out perfect!!
So cute my daughter is due August 8 with a boy they say but I was so sure it was a girl because she had such terrible morning sickness and she has 2 daughters. Her son she wasn’t sick for. Goes to show you you never can tell. She is getting a 3D ultrasound with video and pictures in May so the gender will be confirmed. Congratulations on another little girl. It’s perfect for Nova. Your a special couple.
I like the names Olivia or Ruby or Sophie
Lenox, Lynex
I think NOVA AND NOURI PRONOUCED AS LORI BUT WITH N AND SPICED UP WITH (OU) IT ACTUALLY MEANS LIGHT IN GOD'S FIRE.......MY LIGHT!🤩🤩🙏🏽♥️♥️........
22 years later and sad to say clearly remember being almost 7 weeks pregnant via donor egg IVF (3rd and last opportunity)and ultrasound tech saying “huh, looks like it stopped growing”. Add to that I was alone. As infertility warriors you are exemplary with just being overjoyed for A BABY. So very happy for you all. God bless 👶🏻
Emmie, Ava, Evie
Angela or angel
i like the name ANNIKA, it sounds german, but not sure.
Yes, its german.
I went through 3 pregnancy without knowing the genders. I had 1 girl & 2 boys. My mom had 4 girls and no boys!
We all will be so surprised if it is a boy! I would still keep that name in the back of your mind. I was thinking of a name that goes with Nova for a girl and one of my favorite girl names is Nevaeh. Its Heaven spelled backwards.
I like the names Abigail (father’s joy), Luna, Emerson, Everleigh; Emmellyn, Krista and Tapanga. Love to you all from Australia 🇦🇺
First!!! BUT at work so can’t watch now 😡.......so not really first 😁😁
Let's hope girl will stay a girl :) I would get very attached to the idea of having a boy during those 2 days and would be disappointed again during gender reveal
With my last baby we didnt find out the gender at all; but one time(multiple ultrasounds due to high risk pregnancy) I had a tech say he multiple times so I thought the baby was a boy, and I had tons of nurses in the office calling the baby a boy EVEN MY OB and they would always correct them selves and say ‘it’ even though I called baby ‘they’ 😂 well one of the ultrasounds i swore I accidently got a glimpse and saw a boy, but then another time i swore i saw a girl bits, so I had no clue when baby came out what it was gunna be. I thought it was a boy but sure enough when she came out it was a girl! I was in complete shock because I spent the whole 36 weeks before thinking for sure the baby was a boy! Only thing that made me think girl was the high HCG rise like my other girl pregnancy, but with my son I also had ‘semi high’ numbers for a single pregnancy
Oh also my 4 kids names are Talia, Thaddeus, Temperance, and Julianna. Finding names that flow together are 100% key haha
💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Congratulations! I suggest name Stella ❤️
Congratulations, if you want a name that's different for a girl how about my name Arlette Yvonne..it's French..lol
Ava, Eva, evette
Yes, its german.
Nova & Ava
Nova & Abby
Nova & Kayla
Our ultrasound tech did this to us on purpose! I was beyond upset. She got a good kick out of torturing me with that till our gender reveal. Turns out the girl was our precious baby boy we waited so long for. Embryo adoption mama here too after 5 years of infertility ❤️
In all honesty she probably just was trying to say baby was cute and the he pronoun just popped out🤔I mean haven’t you ever just Stuttered ? Or said something slightly different than you ment to? Added an um or said something plural when singular...? I think it happens all the time!!Sorry that it was a hard thing for you though😥I’m sure it was disappointing!!
It’s a very likely possibility! I can imagine how hard it would be to have to stick to saying “baby” all the time and I bet I would do it too 🙈
@@AylaandCaleb I’m glad it turned out okay and you were able to have your special moment as a little family finding out together at home in the end though🥰🥰
My daughter is 20 weeks pregnant with her 2nd child. Her son is 18 months old. They asked for the gender to be put in an envelope and planned to hand it over to a family friend to plan the gender reveal in a big surprise. When the front desk person handed her the envelope she said, "Congratulations on your new son!" 🙄 Like, why did she think the envelope was sealed???? My daughter went to her car and cried her eyes out that the surprise she wanted to share at the same moment with her husband and rest of family had been totally ruined! I just don't get what that lady was thinking!!!
Now I ask is baby really a girl or could she be really a boy lol xx
I’ve kept the gender of all my kids a surprise until birth. My OB has referred to all of them as ‘she’ during ultrasounds. 50% of them have a penis 😂. Some of the techs just have default pronouns they use.
Congrats on baby girl number 2!
