Fix iPhone 13 Face ID Not Working & Important Display Message after Screen Replacement

- Recently, Phone Repair Guru posted a video about iPhone 13 screen replacement. After replacement, “Important Display Message” pops up. What’s worse, Face ID is not available. Since the iPhone 13 screen includes no flood illuminator module and all the parts for the TrueDepth system are housed in the iPhone itself. REWA LAB speculates that the chip on the original screen has saved Face ID data. Transferring the chip to the new screen might solve the problem.

seriously, like reprogrammers always come up a few months after launch so Apple isn't doing anything but preventing the home DIY repairer from fixing the stuff they bought.

Hello what’s the best way to get back the True Tone
IF we transfer the IC to third party (aftermarket screens) will it work? Or its has to be refurbished OEM screen?

true, next iOS may change things, like maybe the important massage will pop up, because we can't reprogram true tone yet or maybe face id auto disabled

So I replaced a screen on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I doubt I broke anything as I fixed multiple devices just nothing 12 and newer. Could it be just becuase I replaced the screen.

Im now also consider a “amateur” doing phone repair since 2002 until 2023 when I stopped doing repair jobs because I can’t get make anything properly without manufacture support sure you can repair the screens by removing a soldering into a new screen I’m capable of doing bga chip repair but the point being whe should not tolerate this from the manufactures they make everything harder to repair I gave away most of my repair tools to some young folk :hot air station microscoop bga machine

JC V1SE can restore the True Tone of iPhone 13. You should copy the true tone before screen replacement.

Apple has already fixed the problem. Screen replacement won't disable the Face ID now. To remove the screen alert, chip soldering also work with some aftermarked screens.

Easiest fix: buy an Android and wait for Apple to get sued to hell because of their restrictions, or just don't break your iPhone

Replacement will cause the non-genuine camera warning on iPhone 13 Pro Max. There is currently no solution to that unless you repair the camera.

Judging from face id is working again, it's safe to assume the front facing camera still working.
@@feisaljauharitufail they r not connected, face ID in android use from camera, in iPhone it has it own sensors, like light illuminator

You can restore True Tone if you have the old screen as it has a code that needs to be reprogrammed using a jc programmer

no more two screw driver guys on the road doing screens for nothing and ruin the market .We pay taxes wages,rates and we must compete with people doing those for nothing ,It s the end of it. Just the best will survive . Since iphone 12 the screens are cheap on apple and shops charge as much as apple or more . 13 are cheap also on aple out of warranty . Not so much screen jobs now.. All it s left .Soldering jobs and high skill repairs :D
