- In today’s video, we meet Tina, an adventurer and a traveler, currently a caretaker of her mother. Although she has a van that is set up for full-time travel, right now she’s just doing weekend adventures. She built a 2017 ram pro master camper van with a budget of around US$70,000. And this video we take a tour of the DIY camper van build that she’s done about 70% of the work on.

Great build ! Here's a tip for everyone. Many times a 2 x 3 will do the same as a 2 x4 . They are also cheaper and are 1 inch smaller in width . You can also space the 2 x 3 "s closer together to get the strength you need. One inch means a lot with a build in a smaller area. I use this idea a lot with my home projects . Less money, less weight and you gain 1 inch of space.

Very nices and cute set up
The original This End Up furniture was built to last forever, so I am not surprised by the durability, and it's not likely to ever be shaken apart from going down even the worst roads. However, it's also very, very heavy. The weight and how that would affect gas mileage, would probably be the only thing stopping me from putting any of their furniture in a van, along with the concern over my own safety, should I get into an accident with something like that in the back. Getting hit by a piece of their furniture flying forward, would probably be a lot like being hit by a train.
I did secure it to the van infrastructure. I have those same concerns. Maybe someday I’ll build something. For now this does the job. Thanks for your comment.

Nice build but there are quite a few prebuilt slightly used van at that price range with similar functions (and professional finish - for good or bad), so I wonder if it is worth the effort 🤔
I was lucky. I didn’t mention this but it only had 35,000 miles when I bought it. Thanks for your comment. Different place and time, I might have made a different choice.
