So I'm finally decorating and renovating the house but we are decorating and renovating the house while renting so I have to be a little careful and try different methods!

Hello Jazz, I would suggest a Crescent table for the hallway - it has the rounded edges so you may feel like you won't pump it on your way out of the room - usually doesn't stick out as much as a squared table.
Charity and junk shops (antique) are full of crescent tables near me.
I was thinking the exact same thing. It will take up less space and you won't ever hit your hip on .

i think a smaller like semi circle table would look nice there!! it would have rounded edges so no worries if you bump into it and i can just imagine it looking really cute there!

Instead of the table why not just hang the picture with a shelf underneath and put a candle and plant on the shelf, and it will keep the floor space open.
Had the same idea. Plus I would put a little stool under the shelf where you could sit and chat in the phone.

I think a slimmer table would look better... or even a radiator cover. You don't have to have a radiator there for a radiator cover. :-) Another alternative could be a ladder shelf.

When you assemble furniture (like what you have), you need to loosely tighten (hand tighten but even less so) all the bolts so that it can adjust itself. Once everything is on, you make sure everything is level (horizontally, vertically, left, right up, down, in depth) and then you tighten each bolt equally, a little at a time. That way it'll be at least acceptable.
Another tip...Always count every piece before starting assembly. These things are always missing parts.

I to say about putting things together don't tighten everything until you get the full frame together that way you can line everything up and then tighten everything. I think it's great that you seem to have so much fun doing things. When will we see your family again you and your mom should put something together that would be fun

Thank you for caring and asking! I feel now uplifted because I was on a long trip first to the south and then visiting my mom in a city different from where we live with my husband. And with Mom we redecorated the hall, painted it and put up wallpaper on the accent wall, I met my friends 4 times! And now as I'm back with my husband I'm very happy because I missed him and because I feel some energy and enthusiasm to redecorate the hall in this flat) I hope I won't lose it all😊😊😊

I personally am fantastic. Finally finished my degree, after a 6 year delay. So finally that niggly feeling of 'I should be studying' is gone. My kids make me smile and I get to look after puppies atleast once a week. Also I love winter.

Love that table, but DEFINITELY not for that spot. As someone else said, you need a crescent or half round table there. And different art for sure. And a better frame. Looks too juvenile now - like it’s just a poster for a dorm room. Also, I’d get MDF and paint it the wall color, staple it to the back of whatever table, and then the outlet and cord will be hidden. If you keep that table there, probably a chunky gold frame to pull it together.

I have a landline because I live in a village with poor mobile signal, and when I first moved here my mobile provider didn't have WiFi calling 😂
If you loosen the screws slightly on the rail. Stand it up, then tighten it again, i probably would work. If you tighten one side before the other is attached it goes squiffy.

How about a narrow floating shelf instead of the table? I agree with Patrick's suggestion below of a crescent table too.
You could get a radiator cover even though you don't have one there, they are narrowed so won't stick out as much and hisses the sockets but can still have the phone and lamp and candle on xx

Our summer here in BC Canada was extremely hot, 40⁰C & it caused a lot of forest fires, the town of Lytton BC was totally burned down, we are all happy summer is over here in BC
Get 2-4 little white shelves and put them in like a ‘pattern’ and then put little plants or a mini lamp etc on them

I am a little excited as tomorrow marks the start of my final year at university, but also my (chosen) sister is currently in hospital as she is in labour with my second nephew so I am excited to meet him but I can't tell anyone about that as they obviously want to announce the labour/birth themselves
Agree about the table, it does stick out too much! And too close to the door. Maybe a smaller side table same height and love the style. Maybe a small square table or small round one. With a decorative bowl and little plant!
I love the table in the hallway but I do get what u mean by it being to far away from the wall. My idea would be to get a half circle shaped table so it sits flush against the wall but not taking up so much space.

Trying Gousto for the first time this week and love it, didn’t like the fact you can’t see the hellofresh meals before paying as I’m quite fussy lol I’m doing pretty good thanks, just moved into a new house from a flat so it’s a lot easier to get my 8 week old baby girl out in her pram but mum life is pretty lonely during the day when my partner is at work ngl but enjoying the newborn snuggles currently 🥰💜

I know it's too late now but we have a service from Canada Post that, when you move, you pay a small fee and they rerout from the old address to the new one (for a year and you can renew for two, I think). I expect they have the same service in the UK.

Hey jazz, I would recommend having the painting on the wall then a shelf below the painting instead of a table. The shelf doesn’t have legs so it won’t get in the way.

Like you, I feel the hall table is a bit wide(?) you are correct you will bump into it, but as others have said you will get used to it.
I think the little IKEA table you put together a couple weeks ago would work great there.
