- Angels gone wild is probably the best way I could describe this! This felt like soft confidence vs loud confidence in a way and while I love both confidence, I love them individually! At least that’s the case right now. My brain somehow wants to process the verses and the chorus as two different songs and I think once I get over that I will finally start loving the whole song lol But right now, even though the switch wasn’t that brutal, at all actually, I still can’t seem to enjoy it together if that makes sense. I guess another reason why I’m having a bit of a hard time absorbing this whole thing is because I did not see that coming for them! It’s almost like they’re saying “we’re graduating from the angelic concept, watch us change”!? The duality was there for sure!
Thy looked so so so good but Rei really owned that pink hair omg! Really liked the MV as always! They really have that explosive ethereal aesthetic that represents them well I think. I found the verses to be super melodic and almost therapeutic lol they sounded so good there, especially because we could appreciate the girls vocals and distinct tone. It couldn't hurt to have more of Liz though ...

I'm just happy that Gaeul actual have real lines this time for the title. Sometimes there will be members who will have more than others due to the producer choices in their songs. Just wished Liz had more screentime though but the cameras were going so quick and everywhere in the mv.

i feel like what IVE is doing with this song is increddible. Most outside perspectives of kpop will think "oh that music is tacky, is poor quality... but ironically people still call it art" which is what the word Kitsch means.... like they are reclaiming the word that sort of makes fun of kpop stans and kpop because of its eccentric style. which is why having that abrupt chorus in the middle of beautiful melodies and vocals is genius for this song.

I agree that pre-releases have been really present. This is my favourite song by them! The chorus is so confident, fierce, and c***. I will be popping my back and pretend walking down runways for the rest of the year! I was just a casual listener but they have really grabbed me this era and i'm prob going to stan!
It gets more addicting the more you hear it but they did Liz so dirty with this, 6 seconds of lines while the other 5 members had 19 seconds or more!

I think it makes sense to flip the song with so much cuz the title of the song is Kitsch. I feel like that part is meant to be over-the-top and gaudy. The song is about doing what you want and being nineteen and having that kind of bliss and you just turned into an "adult" aka think you're "sexy". So I think it's a layered song tbh for a pop song.

Kitsch I didn't expect to have such Kick Back when the base of the Instrumentation of the song started but I'm always amazed by how good IVE music continues to grow and evolve into something totally different and new
My reaction to the chorus was the exact same, especially the second part of it. Was pure confusion when it first started and didn't really like. The verses are amazing, loved them straight away, and after hearing the song a couple of times more I'm kinda warming up to the chorus (was bopping along while watching you reaction lol).

The MV visuals remind me of Love Dive the contrast between the kinda collegiate inspired outfits vs the fancy fashionable individual outfits. Then you have the black and denim for Kitsch while Love Dive had the cropped white shirts and baggy pants in the dance break. And finally the effects I remember the heart visual effects in Love Dive and here we have the exploding set pieces.

I love the balance between IVE's cute version and their edgy version when the chorus hits as they have that demonic emoji outline in the background as they basically try to live their best lives despite the mindless hate they receive. And also, in a way, the chorus sounds like "kids of the 90s" and I think the clothes go really well with the 90s, especially the baseball jackets? This is a song I could easily strut to the lyrics are so fun and love songs where they address hate but they are and the choreo seems so fun I know people are complaining about Liz’s lines but this is a heavy rap and chant based song so I’m happy to see rei and Gaul get a lot of lines this isn’t the title track it pre release I’m pretty sure she will get way more lines in the title track

i hope they keep using pre-releases for more alternative and experimental stuff, i do think explosive and tasteful pop as ive ben doing it's the way to go for them, but i hope they get to explore other genres with their b-sides, i'm sure kitsch won't be for everybody but i LOVE IT, any k-pop song that makes me stop thinking abt the choreo and just let me enjoy myself it's a solid a+

This is not a rap heavy song.. There were plenty of vocal lines, If they’re choosing to give the rappers the vocal parts over their main vocalist then Idk how that’s defendable.
