There's an Alexa scam that could end up costing you way more than an Alexa! So in this video I'm going after the scammers behind it!
For those curious, Bostoy's address in Deleware. It is a Registered Agent who likely knows nothing. They help LLC's register business documents and sometimes receive their mail. They do not deserve to be spammed or harassed.

Google should be liable for allowing them to advertise. To advertise on Google, there should be a background check to ensure the business is legit.

I’ve fallen down the “let’s scam the scammers!” CZcams rabbit hole and I’m pretty happy about it. Not only is every channel with this type of content endlessly entertaining, but also super informative and man it’s great to see y’all helping victims or keeping people from becoming victims.

About 2 weeks after the first time I watched this video & then watched both versions of it on Trilogy’s & Deyo’s pages I went to see the new Spider Man movie & I literally laughed outloud when Toby “Mag-wire” made his debut in the film. I couldn’t contain myself & did a horrible job whispering to my boyfriend referencing these videos.

Part of this problem falls on both Amazon AND Google. It's incredibly difficult to find the actual customer service number for Amazon. And when someone Googles for Amazon Customer Service, Google should not be providing scam websites. Anyone that has fallen victim to these scams should file a class action lawsuit against Google. They 100% have control over what results populate.
Google sent me to a scam site when I searched for Spectrum Customer Service. They said I needed to use my credit card and pay a dollar to speak with a technician who could help me. Luckily my husband found our monthly receipt where the real Customer Service number was. I didn't even think it was a scam; I was just too p.o. to pay them a dollar when they already get over $200 from me every month. It wasn't until I talked to a true rep that I was told "We would never ask you for a dollar. I'm old and not tech savvy.
I've had this thought as well, Google especially feels complicit in being so mild about obvious scams that are seo driven to the top of web searches.
Ye.. but the sites pay Google. The scam sites are paying for Google ads.
@@reymarckessaguirre5082 right, and that is A PROBLEM. What's stopping Google from accepting payment for ads for drugs or CSAM sites? The supply of victims lies in the hands of Google. Those phone numbers should never make it to Google results, MUCH LESS at the top of the first page.

Why don't you or anyone else actually flag/report this with them!?! Thousands/millions adds go through their sites. Its ppl like us help them filtering the bad apples out!
If you're smart enough, you'll rely on friends & family to hp guide you to the right source.
With alexa app, you go to amazon to source it, download it. Even the alexa, alexa echo dot would tell you to go to the app or the amazon site

Hearing the real voices of victims made my stomach clench up. That really upset me, deeply. You, Deyo and TM and other baiters are doing heroic work. Pple have been known to commit suicide after losing everything to these bastards and they need to be held accountable for ruining lives. 😑
Had the same reaction... And emmediatly made me kind of nervous about my mom, she would be the type that might fall for these things... Its sad how people take advantage of people's vulnerabilities...

My mom is a bit older and almost got scammed by some scammers impersonating our local power company once, these scammers taking advantage of people is so infuriating
Of course -_- Scammers are so desperate for money so they LITERALLY have to help you setup a device that is very easy to setup with full instructions from the official company 🤩

I think my mother fell for this a couple years ago. She gets so overwhelmed by technology that she just gave in. I started to tell her it was a scam but didn't have the heart to go into details. Just made sure her computer was secure and let it go.
These scamming aholes need to be reigned in by authority. Glad to see an authority like you (and your friends) taking action.

Pleasent Green some scammers just invaded my country. South Africa, I wanted to send you their details, they have been annoying a lot of us lately. Mostly forex scammers
Also, tbh shares scammers in the UK and the US. I've been getting calls for years, from people pretending to be from major banks whilst having either some form of English or American accent.
This was a really great watch. Really enjoyed it. Great investigative journalism too.

Since then I have spent hours and many nights and days in live chats and watching all levels of scambaiters. From very small sub channels to Jim Browning. Going to go watch TM right now! I've been waiting for this since they first announced their plans for this multi-city trip. So glad everyone got back safely from this trip.

The first anti-scammer I watched was Jim Browning, I've been hooked ever since, I love to see more and more anti-scammers popup on my youtube suggestions.
It's strange, I love watching videos like this, but in a perfect world they would not be needed, the world is not perfect so they are needed.

Being an Indian I can agree with this as there are lot of people around looking for easy money by scamming. I feel sad for the people who get scammed. I wish I could help you guys out to hell shut down few of this place. The dollars that they get have made them blind...I am sorry for this being an Indian I feel ashamed. Most of the employees mostly don't know what they are doing as they are given a script so they mostly end up scamming unknowingly.
They have the ability to make a business, but they can't make a legitimate one...that's what really makes no sense. The time they take to scam people that could be time they're learning how to program software and do real support.

Happy to have found a new scambaiter (new to me, I came here via a recommendation in the comments of Atomic Shrimp, another with cool scambaiting videos, in that case all email based, so funny.) You are doing great work as well as entertaining us all. A vulnerable, elderly family member was scammed for who-knows how much via letter-based scams until other members of the family realised and had her mail diverted. Just awful, it seems she was sending money to them all.

Well done hope you save lots of people . What sickens me is they love taking advantage of elderly people and have no compassion. I have spoken to a scam victim online, and other people on the site were calling her stupid and its her own fault. So wrong, as anyone can be scammed or duped, there are plenty of different ones about to choose from. Hope you get these scammers stopped and eventually do enough damage to them to make sure they cannot trade like this ever again.

I'm really surprised that "Damon" knows who Peter Parker is or who played him in a movie. Usually these scammers don't have the first freaking idea and use the most absurd names that show they don't know how to do even the most basic research into creating a fake name or have any idea what is or is not a famous person's name.
honestly, scammers likely work due to a lack of other options, especially in less developed states, maybe his fondness and talk about spiderman was because that was a legitimate interest, something that could hide both the lack of wealth and guilt. They speak with scripts, but behind each script is just another human.
I was talking to a "Vincent" from India who true to scam me using a Manchester number, whilst using a London address.
I said to him "You've obviously said my name not in the way I say it, because it isn't an English name" (They said it the same way an older relative from Pakistan might say it), and said to him "It isn't a secret that we've got a lot of Indian people in the UK too. Stop pretending you're white when you're not"
I'd be more likely to trust an Indian scammer who uses their real Indian name than someone who pretends they're white, especially when people call legitimate companies in the UK and the US, those with Pakistani and Indian heritage use their own bloody real names.
You do get the odd "John" or "Paul" in India given Christian Indians existing. The ones that have those names either have biblical names or British names because of the whole empire thing. Not bloody Vincent
That, and most Christians in India live in Goa. Most scammers in India aren't from Goa
