The first time I heard Baekhyun’s voice was through the song Obsession. It was the era that I found out exo existed (not a big kpop fan tbh) and I only stumbled upon their music because it played on my Spotify.
To be fair, exo sounds good as a group. When the members sang each of their part I didn’t hear a voice I didn’t like, but it was Baekhyun’s that caught my attention. This boy can sing!
I then proceeded to check his own discography as a soloist thanks to a fan alert. It was then that I heard UN Village, a beautiful, languorous, sexy RnB-ish song that showcased what this talented man can do with his amazing vocals.
Baekhyun has the voice and the technique. With this combination, he is not just a singer with a vocation. He is an artist you cannot help but respect, whether you’re a fan or not. Congratulations, Baekhyun.
