15 years… that’s King County for you! Very lenient on criminals.
I was beaten up over a parking space and the lady had a switchblade. The charges were felony assault with a deadly weapon causing bodily harm.
Her lawyer tried to get it down to a misdemeanor! Thankfully it stayed as a felony, but the charges were downgraded and she served no jail time, was assigned anger management classes which she did not attend, and was ordered to pay me restitution but never did.

Welcome to my home state of Washington. We are easy on criminals, let our citizens get high in the streets and in clinics for free, and our governor is as corrupt as they come. My dad works at the capitol, and the bills being attempted to pass are absolutely horrifying. Our streets are filled with homeless camps, cops don’t chase fleeing suspects, and we pay some of the highest taxes in the country. But we have deep roots here and it would be a huge undertaking to get my whole family out.
This man doing only 15 years just goes to show you how hard we are on crime 🤦🏼‍♀️
