And cry for Hussain on Judgement Day
For on those plains we heard your call
You saved Islam for us all

Harbun liman haarabahum*
Wa silmun li man saalamahum*
In Khum* we were left two weighty things
To the Ahlul Bayt* we'll always cling

Peace be on you Ya Aba Abdillah*
The grandson of Rasulullah*
Qad Kotelal Huseino bi Karbala*,
Qad Zobehal Huseino bi Karbala*
We cry for your suffering oh Fatema
matam: the tradition of striking the chest in mourning
Ya Hussain: "Oh Hussain"
Harbun liman haarabahum: "I am at war with those he is at war with"
Wa silmun li man saalamahum: "And I am at peace with those he is at peace with"
Khum: A reference to the event at Ghadeer-e-Khum where the Prophet (s.a.w.s) formally appointed Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (a.s.) as his successor.
Ahlul Bayt: Literally "People of the house". The term is reserved for the family of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.s.)
Ya Aba Abadillah: A title of Imam Hussain (a.s.) meaning "Father of the servants of Allah". It is an honorary title as he is the shining example of servants of Allah for all humanity.
Rasoolullah: "Messenger of Allah"
