Literally the only scene in the movie that felt like Fast and Furious
Yeah the flashbacks were the only good scenes I wish they made a prequel of young dom and jakob
Also the only good scene
And when Dom gave Jakob a ten second car at the end 👌
It had cars going fast
It sucks but if they stuck to doing this people wouldn’t watch. It would be boring. I’m not saying it’s my opinion but it is what it is. They tried this with fast and furious and it was just an ok film but when they did fast five and all the craziness started in other countries is when they got big.
This just shows that they have the potential to go back to street racing instead of explosions and fight scenes
Not really. Fast & Furious is all about actions with sports cars involves. You hate actions do you?
Funny, since they were never about street racing. First one was about an undercover cop.
Second, he was undercover again.
Third probably had the most with racing and even then it wasn't about racing.
It was about street racing.
@@dakotawalker7117 the first was about an undercover cop trying to find thieves believed to be racers.
@@JoybuzzerX it was about street racing sorry buddy
I just realized these cars are the predecessors to the ones they had in the jungle when they finally met several years later. Dom went from a first gen charger to a hellcat and Jakob went from a fox body to a late model GT500. It’s as if they just picked up right where they left off.
That was Kool I thought I was only one who noticed.
It’s their hero cars. Dom has always been a charger & mopar guy and they’re introducing Jakob as a Mustang guy. It’s the same for Brian with the skyline
Dom's lost Sister drives a Camaro. I would not be surprised.
@@darkrain2493 🤣
OMG FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED IT! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE.... YOU'RE A TRUE CAR ENTHUSIAST MY MAN!
We can poke plenty of fun at this movie, but I must admit the flashback sequences were handled really well. Good action, good casting, and it was nice to see the backstory filled out a bit.
The only good parts
@@budderutter there's a lot of ironically funny parts, but yeah these are the only genuine moments in the whole movie.
"A flashback sequence" yeah that ONLY ONE WAS GOOD
The sequences slowed the pacing
They were some of the more realistic scenes
Those flashbacks make me wish they made a prequel with these actors
I read an article discussing the possibility of a Dom Toretto prequel 🤞
@@LilDew they should totally do that
Finn Cole and Vin Diesel's oldest son
Yeah they should make a movie about young toretto
That would be so cool!
The actors that played younger Dominic,Jakob and Mia Toretto
Young
Letty,Vince and Jesse
Did very good job 👏🏾
2:13 Jakob Toretto Is Pissed 😡
@@kevynwilliams1776 i didn't see actor played Leon
Finn Cole and Vin Diesel's oldest son
Why the dad died again
@@jballen8386
Family was in bad debt so the dad wanted to throw the race but dying wasn't part of the plan
Every movie has at least one race, and this one might be the most emotional one yet.
The music literally is such a throw back to the first movie!! This race was epic!
it was in one of the fast 6 trailers
what name is this music
@@noahgrey4962 Breathe by The Prodigy, this is the RZA remix.
@@pauldee7504 thank you paul dee
@@noahgrey4962 You're welcome.
The Young Dom actor did a great job. When they end the franchise they could easily take it back to its street racing roots with a Young Dom prequel with this actor.
Worldwide Box Office (as of late 2017) unfortunately points towards saving the world more than street racing:
#8)Tokyo Drift: $157,794,205
#7)The Fast and the Furious: $206,512,310
#6)2Fast2Furious: $237,410,607
#5)Fast and Furious: $363,064,265
#4)Fast Five: $629,969,804
#3)Fast & Furious 6: $789,300,4441
#2)The Fate of the Furious: $1,237,444,462
#1)Furious 7: $1,526,748,684
@@dlc85007 lmao, How much time did it take to comment this?
@@rihabshaikh9666 I would say around 5mins as this was a screenshot of info I saved once when the technical advisor of the first movie was explaining about how we feel it's missing street racing
From New Zealand too. Chur brother.
There really should be a movie just about Dom's backstory like meeting Letty and Vince for the first time back to simple times when it was just about street racing instead of satellite components, battle in the Arctic or going into space
@ Meeting Vince "that was in the third grade!!"
@@LilDew Guess he wants a movie bout Dom in 3rd Grade
Yeah apparently Letty and Vince have almost always been around, it was just Leon and Jesse that tagged along once they got older. But having a much more grounded series about the crew in the 90s growing up together wouldve been dope as hell
@@alvarotehz yes series sound a bit more interesting for spinoff ideas.
@@LilDew they can race go-karts in that case and run the playground
Happy they finally got both a Foxbody and a 1st gen charger in one of these films
1st gen chargers are definitely under appreciated.
There was also a fox body in the 4th one
@@The_Real_Ryan I forgot about that red one.
@@The_Real_Ryan really?
People say that the series has forgotten its roots, but there has been a race in literally every movie.
And yet people fail to recognize that.
Fast & Furious is all about actions with sports cars involved
And because people can't learn to adapt to what the fast franchise has because
And what they also don't understand is Fast and Furious was never about street racing from the first movie.
@@DaquanHarrison you are right it was mainly about Dom stealing DVD players with 90% of street racing involved lmao.
This race with the music gives me nfs vibes
I love this race cause you can see the emotions from Dom and Jakob. Dom is furious while Jakob is nervous. I hope they stick this route for the last installment of the F&F franchise.
1:21 Also is that Jesse, Mia, and Vince?
@@mikeoxmaul837 yep
I'm not even a huge fan of this franchise (it's fun) but this is legit probably the best scene I've seen out of these films in the last 4 entries.
They did a fantastic job with the Flashback scenes it was unreal
Dom took O'Conner in to fill the guilt he felt for abandoning his actual brother.
I know tons of people didn't like this movie but I loved it and these flashbacks were really clever and intense
I bet scenes like this one are often overshadowed.
@@kidz4p509 Even though I love the whole movie that is true!!
The best street race scene in the movie 💯
The only one in the movie
Kinda cool how this is such a throwback, it’s almost exactly like the race between Jessie and Johnny, the music the things they say, some nostalgia
Interestingly, the actress who played young Mia wasn’t even born yet when the first Fast movie came out
Damn, that’s crazy when you put it in that perspective!
Imagine if she hadn’t seen a single one of the movies and they had a show her all of the ones that featured her just so she can get the part right. Or Imagine if she watched these movies years prior without knowing she’d someday land the role.
Also neither was Hayden Christensen back when Vader was first introduced in a new hope.
@@mikeoxmaul837 Either one of those scenarios is a crazy one
Need for speed 2015 be like…
Hell yes, that game was fire! 🔥
From “Too Soon” to “Too early Dom”
i am so glad the 1966 charger is finally in a movie
a 67 i think
1:58 MONICAAAAAAAA
Kinda reminds me of Johnny Tran vs Jesse in Race Wars and the first race in the first Fast & Furious movie. lol
Too soon Junior!
would’ve been cool as hell if dom drove a stock rx7 which would later become the rx7 he drives in the first movie
Finally a clip that shows that Fox body Mustang that hot wheels made for the movie!!! I think that f&f could definitely use prequel material like this to flesh out their universe. Maybe even do young Brian
For one beautiful moment the series had gone back to its roots
The series never had any "roots." The Fast and Furious saga was never about street racing. It was about pulling off jobs, car chases, heists, and never turning your back on family, even when they do. Something you wouldn't understand, since you just watch the racing.
@@DaquanHarrison sure thing
THANK YOU ‼️
That “NOOOO!” was literally worth the price of admission. That had me rolling lmao
I’m sorry but 0:24 was HYPE AF in theaters
Anyone else notice that this was the only street race in the whole franchise that went off a flashlight start?
I always thought that was a cool thing, maybe it was indicative of Lettys character as a stoic badass because unlike all the other start line girls she's just there, no flaunting or prancing around, but she's all business. They nailed her perfectly
Foxbody!
Jakobs foxbody is an underrated car
About time they brought back real racing
I don't know why people hate this movie. I personally think this is one of my favorites.
I’m only here because I had a joint with the Vinnie last night and I wanted to be reminded how insanely good he was in this movie
So cool love this vid
2 minutes and 17 seconds of "Fast And Furious" ...then there's the rest of the movie. 😁
No
Thumbnail looks like Michelle Rodriguez but in male version 😂
Am I the only one to realise a year later that young Jacob is played by Michal from Peaky blinders 💀
I didn't expect Jakob to be one of the redeeming things in this film. His agent story should've been replaced with a racing-related story who is trying to compete against Dom.
I like Jakob's retro Ford Mustang.
My favorite part of this movie fast and furious young dom vs young Jakob charger vs mustang I wish I race just like dom in real life 🔥🔥🏁🏁💨💨
Nobody’s gonna mention that Appetite For Destruction waz in this movie?
I was stoked when I heard it in theatres 🔥
I love these flashbacks
Dom: if you win you come home, if you lose you keep driving and you don't stop never come back
As stupid as this film is, I gotta admit: the one aspect of the film with the "unknown brother" I thought they would butcher would end up being the very thing that made it enjoyable enough for a F&F fan like me.
hey they listened to us about going to space, maybe if we all chant we want street racing back lol
A Netflix series would be a great fit, to tell the story of Dominic and his fast family.
nah netflix would ruin it. They should make a spinoff movie like they did w hobbs and shaw for young dom and jakob
Nah just give the production rights to Prime Video, those guys know their stuff.
We want a few prequel movies starring these actors
I wouldn’t mind a fast and furious prequel if it was done like this , even these same actors I wouldn’t mind
What we learned so far in this franchise was, the first person to use nos, is the first person to lose.
Awesome scene
So I guess this is Don and Jakob racing and the loser leaves town, right?
Does anyone else find it oddly satisfying hearing those bottles open?
This is like how Jesse left after losing to Johnny Tran.
the flash back scene are the best ones
Doms 67 charger is now my favorite mopar along with the 70 rt
I just realized that the actor who played young Jakob is the same actor who played J in Animal Kingdom
NOSTALGIA~!!!!
This flashback was casted pretty well.
Humble beginnings before Dom joined the MCU with his superpower....."family."
This is the best movie i watch F9
awesome f9 [2021] film - fateful family race scene !!!
shoutouts to the flashbacks being shot on film
It's time to do prequel movies with this actor and keep them more grounded like the first fast and the furious movie.
The casting for this movie-- >>>>>
I don't care what the reviews say, this was a great movie
Dom is a hypocrite, he spent movie by movie saying “you don’t turn your back on family even when they do” yet this is exactly what he does. He kicks his brother out of the family without even letting him explain what he did. This movie really ruins the character of dom to me
Damn i never realized that u right
Jakob was never going to tell him because their dad made Jakob promise to tell Dom nothing. Dom wasn't about family then
@@jaisenweaver7938 you make a good point but at the same time Jacob told him one way or the other and it’s funny how dom starts talking about not turning your back on family and although he wasn’t about family then, he is and has been since the first movie, not ever do they mention or does dom even considers talking to Jacob again. Jacob’s character in the franchise came way way too late, it feels a character out of nowhere
@@Toy_Rumbles it's been 15 years since Dom met Brian 2004-2019
@@jaisenweaver7938 dom was a man of family even before he met Brian
the only scene that felt like a real race
Was the flagger Mia? She looks shocked when Dom pulled up at first.
Best foxbody build ever
Jacob represents the other half of muscle to dom, the Ford motors muscle
I Like The Young team of Toretto's they were young back then with Jakob and They all grown up as adults
1:49 was exactly what Johnny Tran said after beating Jessie in racewars in the first F&F movie. Same situation and everything. Maybe it was a nod to the first movie? Idk I stopped watching these movies after Tokyo drift (which was the last good one) IMO.
Johnny Tran said too soon junior
@@pricemoore2022 it’s literally the same dude.
Even In the flashback Leon is missing.
0:44 Granny shifting not double clutching like you should.
If you think about it…the first f&f, jessie’s race went this exact same way.
Well except that Jessie didn't spin out, or did he? 🤔
Nah, he just used his nitro too early
Can we all agree on thats letty that’s flagged the race
I was expecting Dom using his RX7 in casual state since this was few years before Brian show up
The same line from fast and furious 😭😭
I loves 1966 Dodge charger becomes race badass.
So that's what Michael Gray was doing while he was in USA.
*When Me and my little brother use Sora and Cloud in Smash 5.*
Best part was the foxbody . But it wouldn’t of lost . Maybe would of took out couple spectators doing it
I think Jacob had too much NOS power coming from his Mustang, so it made him lose traction and it caused him to start spinning out slightly.
@@cckiller0053Or the tires were not warmed up enough
Dom May know what Jakob did but he has the whole truth side of his story of what really happened. I feel bad for him because his dad told him to & promise Dom wouldn’t find out but he did.
And for only A brief Second We See Jesse and Vince
If the whole movie was just this I would not have complained.
Vin Diesel’s announcement that there will be a Toretto family spin-off between his character and his family!
It's on HBO Max now in case anybody is wondering
Back there when Fast and Furious was about Street Racing
This scene just proved that they can still do the street vibes, but they choose not to.
Is it me or after quarantine movies haven’t been the same
I love the directors cut of this race
Ikr ? We get to see Kid Jesse, Vince, Mia and Letty. It was beyond rewarding for those of us who love the first movie
The only way to save this franchise and return it to what it was at the beginning, is to produce a series based on the idea of the young Dom, how he started. This was the best scene in all the most recent films in the franchise
Basically the guy who lost is his brother and because of him his dad died. They made a bet if the good guy won ~ which is the guy who won, he said to leave to his brother ~ which is the one who lost ~ to leave and never come back, that is why when he lost he didn’t stop the car, he left forever
YES
I think it’s funny how every actor playing Dom is named Vin. Vin Diesel , Vinnie , and Vins son Vincent as 10 year old
damn didnt know his son played dom
If only F9 was just a prequel about this...
Ngl, young Dom looks like John Cena 😂
The best part of the movie ⬆️
