I’m sure Florio can wait. We all can tell that he just loves hearing himself talk. The only reason he maybe wants to listen to Simms is to steal all his film takes from him. All of his football knowledge he has spewed all over media he has stolen from Simms. I’ve seen it. He’s a fraud con-artist that pretends he really loves football and studies the X’s and O’s and it’s all bullshit. He loves the drama and he loves criticizing anyone and everyone he can

No, Wilson has played himself out of the hall. Don’t forget two things: one, the defense was the driver in their Super Bowl teams. When the team caved to him and “let Russ cook”, it was a disaster - he didn’t have the talent to put the team on his back. That’s what a HOF qb does.
Two, he threw the most consequential interception of all time.
He lucked into being drafted by a team with a terrible starting qb and a soon-to-be legendary defense. He doesn’t belong. Too many quarterbacks get in anyway.

Online gambling is illegal in Florida. If Fanduel found a way for a Florida resident to make bets, then Fanduel could be in a LOT of trouble.
Teams and players both go back on their contracts. Teams will cut players and players will ask for a raise when they have outplayed their current contract. Right now it makes no sense for 49ers to trade him. They have a Superbowl window and they can play this year out and decided after this season who to keep
14+22+30 for total of 66 million over the next 3 years or sign a deal that pays you 28 million per with 100 million guaranteed. Football is a physical sport so take the money and you are set for life. If he wants 31 million per and 49ers offering him 28 why not take the deal and be back at the table in 3 years asking for a new contract
But in this situation 49ers can make him play and than they can still franchise him twice. 14 million this year, 22 million on franchise tag next year and around 30 million on franchise tag year after that if they choose to tag him twice. There is no easy way forward because there will be hurt feelings
He’s not gonna show up and be as valuable cuz they are fucjing him over. He’s gonna be deebo from a few years ago where he was ass cuz he held out. They’ll have that for years, plus the animosity in the locker room. Players see how the team treats their teammates and that is a cost you have to factor in. At the end of the day the team is being a piece of shit and everyone knows it. It’s not about “what they are allowed to do” it’s about what they should do. Another thing worth considering is, money laundering, fairly certain that Gambling companies are required to monitor for suspected money laundering.
I know that if this had happened in the EU, regardless of any duty of care violations, the failure to ascertain the legal provenance of the cash, oh boy, you are in a heap of trouble.
That would be very, very bad for them if the DOJ decided that once you let someone bet 20 million with no regard for how he got the money, you are now in those sorts of violations (or outside chance, no monitoring for sanctions violations, Then boy, the DOJ is not nice to deal with).
