My back, arms, knees, shoulders and wrists hurt just thinking about this. Longest I ever road on a sports bike was while I was in the military when I road from Ft Drum, NY to Dallas, TX on a 2002 GSX-R750 in 2003. 36 hours with a stop to sleep. On the way back I did it in 27 hours straight and took a 1 hour nap at a rest stop in Ohio somewhere. I was 24 at the time and I hurt like I'd done a 30 mile forced march with a 125 lb ruck. I hurt everywhere. I remember running earbuds to a crappy mp3 player that ran on AA batteries up into my helmet, just so I wouldn't lose my mind during the countless hours. I'm ancient now and have moved to cruisers and more neutral riding position bikes, but I don't miss the old days too much. Tech has really made long distance rides so much better. Color me surprised that the modern sports bikes don't include cruise control!!

You had me at H2...then 8hrs of H2.... can't be bad! A guy I grew up with...rode from uxbridge Ontario Canada to Newfoundland and back in 17hrs!..at least 2,600 kms new metzlers when he left....bald when he got back...front and back tires were garb! Great therapy for ADDHD!

I did Canada Atlantic to Pacific on a zx7-r over-bored to 830cc and full zx14 sprocket and chain for ultra low rpm (or very high speed and zero acceleration). I now ride a GTR1400 and I prefer the zx7-r. These trips are the ones that make life worth living.

I have done a journey twice, about 1000 km (yeah convert it to Miles😂) from Phuket to Bang Pu (past Bangkok to the East) in about 11 hours and it was gruelling. The journey was okay until I was close to Bangkok because I got stuck in traffic jams for about an hour and a half. The heat of the engine was roasting me. Next time I will do it in two days.
10,000 miles across the US is on my bucket list.

Randomly found this. But when you got pulled over for speed by LIDAR, there is no way to beat that ticket. You aim at what you visually estimated the speed at and as long as it’s +/- 5mph from visible estimation. The cop is golden all day long. LIDAR you can’t beat because it tracks what you aim at unlike RADAR. Just like you can’t beat a speeding ticket from a helicopter either.
The H2 is dangerous asf man. It just pulls you to drive it incredibly fast.

Idk how dangerous it is to have your shoelaces untied when riding, but I recommend learning the Berluti Knot. It doesn't come untied and it's as easy to undo as the regular knot :D
