Don't wait too long... I did my first Camino because my dad kept pushing me to do it. When I suggested he do it if he was so interested, he told me he was too old, not healthy and I realized that's me in 20 years. It hit me really hard and I booked it that same day. I tried to get my dad to consider joining me the next couple of times, but now he's really not able to do it. I'm headed back in May with my own son for my 4th time (his 2nd time). We did it together last May and had some amazing memories...
Yeah, no one in their right mind would go that way. Eugi is North of the Camino, and we should have gone West. I was struggling finding a place to stay, and chose poorly. After that day I started booking our accommodations further ahead.
Wow, I'm reliving my own Caminos. and remembering how rough it is walking in the narrow edge of the pavement and altogether scary with incoming traffic. But, alas, you made it safely!
