    Hi Aaron I have watched probably 20 or more of your videos this week. I really enjoy your style of producing the videos. You don' t leave out important steps , give diagnostic tipps and tricks, and cut the videos so short that I don' t waste too much time watching it. I' ve seen hundreds of car videos and suffered a lot... thank you for sharing your experience with us!

    Bro how many times have you done this before. This is like the smoothest first time job I’ve ever seen. Excellent mechanic skills. Lol.

    Love to see that Milwaukee ratchet, I sleep with mine beside the bed. Just a little tip you can change that pump, idlers and tensioner without removing the shroud, there’s enough room to let that fan lay in the shroud. Just my 2 cents.

    I just replaced the water pump on my 17 f350. No need to remove the shroud. Just the belt and one bolt on the bracket that holds the electrical plug for the clutch fan. The fan assembly will lay in the shroud housing.

    Great video. I own one of these and compared to some other cars that's a really easy water pump!

    Thanks for making such a great video! Quick question, did you drain any coolant before you removed the water pump or just let it drain when you removed it and refilled what poured out?

    I'm having trouble getting the fan clutch loose on my v10 6.8. The water pump is sliding within the belt. The belt tension will not hold for me to loosen the nut. Any tips?

    • @AaronHinesAuto
      @AaronHinesAuto  Před 4 lety

      I use an air chisel and break the nut loose that way, some auto part stores will rent u a special tool to break it loose

    One other question, my 6.8L v10 has no fill cap on the rad. When I'm done changing the water pump do I fill it through the overflow reservoir?

    Anything that takes 45 minutes for you takes 2 days for me. My truck is rusted out junk nothing plays fair and all clips and wiring connectors crumble into 1000 pieces.
