96 is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film that features Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles. It is a situational love-story focalizing on a travel-photographer Ramachandran aka Ram who gets nostalgic on rewinding the memories of his childhood sweetheart Janaki Devi aka Jaanu during a reunion ceremony with his school classmates.
The film written and directed by C. Prem Kumar and produced by S. Nanthagopal for Madras Enterprises, the music for the film was composed by Govind Vasantha, Mahendiran Jayaraju and N. Shanmuga Sundaram handled the cinematography and R. Govindaraj edited the film while the costumes were designed by Subhashree Kaarthik Vijay.
The film was released on 4 October 2018 and met with strong critical acclaim from critics and audience alike.

Moving on doesn't mean that you get married and have kids with another person. You need to get over that previous love before you even commit to another person, as it's unfair to them. Marriage doesn't fix everything. Lots of people are in unhappy marriages because of this - they think it's some magic formula that will fix problems - no true.
i watched this more than 10 times, but still crying at the last scene. one of my best indian movies. 99 and jannu couldn't give you the same feeling you have experienced in 96. awesome. love it, 96!

What an acting... Vijay sethupathi... In the beginning, Ram was unable to look at Jaanu's eyes. In the end he can't take off his eyes from her... Trisha also has done justice to the character.... Each glance at him is full of love..

I love how Vijay and Trisha portrayed their roles so well. Here the love between them has turned into bhakthi. Its impossible to forget the love one has for another. But the respect that turned into Bhakthi is the purest form of love. I absolutely so adore this movie. I don' t mind buying a copy of this movie so I can watch anytime in my life to be inspired.

I was sitting in the theatre 15 minutes after the movie....my husband said take your time ....i will wait outside with kids..... after 15 minutes the light was on ...the clear came inside for cleaning... i want to get up and move...but I couldn't....I saw a person after 3 seats apart...he was slowly getting up and crossed infront of me....on the way he gave some tissues to wipe my tears and he said get up sis....this is film....

There might be another loving person waiting for you. Don't take any negative steps in life towards you and your lover. Let them live their marital life. Especially boys, nowadays we are seeing somany acidattack cases and murder cases. It's really awesome movie, one should learn how to love their partners with great respect and love.

I loved this movie and a had watched the movie 15 movies. Tamil version is the best ever and both Vijay and Trisha were excellent .Prem Sir direction was superb and it complimented with Vasanth Govinda(Govind Menon) music and bgm was super.

We were in love ❤️ but we both didn't bother to word it out...... One day he said he is coming to see me in the railway station ... I didn't believe it..... But he was waiting for me there with His cute smile..... 4.30 am in the morning..... I was shocked..... Felt to cry out.... Felt I wanna die that moment..... Many people know me there....... I walked into a dark place and he followed me... I wanted to hug him.... I wanted to kiss him.....wanted to hold his hands.... But Instead of doing all this I just asked him how are you going back? ..... And walked towards the gate... Looked back to see him as he was following me..... When I got into my car I saw him standing by the gate smiling at me..... That was the last time I saw him.... Still regretting about what I did.... But that was the only thing I could do as an engaged girl( with someone else). It kills me even after 12 years...
