  • There is so much work to be done in the field of pulmonary fibrosis and interstitial lung disease to ensure that everyone gets an accurate, timely diagnosis and receives proper treatment. In this session from the PFF Summit, researchers are talking about some of the biggest disparities in PF.
    Did you know?
🔹 Men are three times more likely to receive a diagnosis of IPF, whereas women are more frequently diagnosed with autoimmune-related ILD, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, or lymphangioleiomyomatosis
🔹 Pulse oximeters are less accurate for people with darker skin
🔹 All-cause mortality rates are higher in rural vs. urban areas of the United States. Rural residence itself can be a risk factor for IPF.
Tune in to this webinar to learn more about disparities in ILD, and what researchers are doing to address these problems.
