Not a Hammers fan but I’ve watched enough of their fan vids to know they can’t wait to see the back of him!

Issue is 35 game relegation battle last season, shipped 70 goals so far this season, 7+ games being battered by more than 4 goals, won only 3 league games in 2024, points wise would be third from bottom. Also Moyes plays the badge when playing against teams he deems are big, which is everyone hence setting up a low block. He has spent 475m has the smallest and oldest squad in league with 7th highest wage and 8th highest transfer spend with 2nd highest attendance in league so 9th is below what he should be doing as a minimum, villa went from 15th to 4th

Bowen not going anywhere he just sign a new contract

    1. He’s given credit for keeping us up - reality he scored the same amount of points and Slav in the same number of games.
    2. Failed to recruit in January transfer window when we were in the europa league. We got knocked out. He then claimed a thin squad was why we got knocked out. After saying in January he’d prefer to work with the squad he had!
    3. Players - Moyes couldn’t get Haller or Scamacca into the squad. Both are scoring for fun now. Kudos, Paqueta, Alvarez aren’t Moyes signings. JWP who is floundering for us, Danny Ings and Kalvin Phillips are his picks and a costly disaster. Soucek is bang average (I like him personally) but he can’t pass, slow going forwards or tracking back. But he’s great in the air.
    4. Academy -currently we have an awesome group of successful academy players. We can’t get to sign contracts, because they don’t see a route to the first team. Because of Moyes.
    5. 6th and 7th? Good positions for us, but mask the dire football we’ve been paying to watch for the last 4 years. And we were 14th last season. 9th atm, but if we hadn’t scraped some unexpected wins at the start of the season our performances since Xmas would suggest we should be 14th/15th ish if not worse.
    6. Europa conference league cup win - the standard of this league is such that if you are a premier league side in that cup and you don’t win it, that’s poor. We played clubs with electricians and plumbers in the squad. And the final we won in the dying minutes with a goal that did not come off the training ground. Cups a cup, but I don’t put that win down to Moyes either.
    7. Squad rotation - Moyes thinks that’s a dirty word. We don’t do squad rotation. What we do do is listen to Moyes complain his players are tired, they’ve all played 12 more games than the opposition and we’ve only got a small squad! All things he’s responsible for creating! And on top of that we have either the smallest or second smallest squad in the league with the oldest or second oldest average age. Again his doing.
I could go on. I’d point you in the direction of hammers chat. Gonzo did a bit about the media comments. Might be of interest to you. ‘Hammers chat West Ham forum / out of order / West Ham fans vilified’!
All is not how it appears.
Oh and last point. Moyes has had a contract offer since Christmas. He refused to sign it until season end as he wasn’t sure it was right for him. The club was/is right to court other managers for due diligence in case he decides to leave. In the same way he was interviewed and courted while Slav was in post prior to being sacked and Moyes in the same afternoon. Moyes hasn’t been sacked, he’s just not having his contract renewed 🤷‍♂️
    Cheers for listening

Some great points. Not taking advantage of a Premier League academy is criminal! I still think the conference league is a big achievement, you can only beat the teams in front of you. I'll check out one of the channels you listed as well :)

@@Derby-Days the conference league cup win was a great day out as were the days out to beat the plumbers and electricians, just putting some meat on the bone for context. As I said I could go on. Stuff you just don’t hear the pundits talk about. We just keep hearing you’re 7th, you’re 8th, you’re 9th what are you complaining about. Well clearly those same pundits aren’t listening because it’s got nothing to do with current or previous league positions. And I haven’t heard one whu fan say we should be challenging for champions league or anything else. Are we in a better position than four years ago? Absolutely. First eleven has more quality even if he sucks it out of them. But most of the diamonds we have weren’t recruited by him, but by our new director of football Tim Steidten. With our squad premiership safety is a given. Even when we’re playing as bad as we are now. But how do you keep kudus, Bowen, paqueta, Alvarez etc when you ask them to play defensive low block for 75-80 minutes, then have a go. To just about every club in the league. In fact just to show how bad tactically Moyes is. We recently played palace and got our pants pulled down. Palace are the one side in the league that don’t like playing against a low block! What did Moyes do🤷‍♂️ Dropped his low block tactic and went for it🤷‍♂️ And just finally, is there any others premier league team bar the bottom 4 clubs that would have Moyes? Would you? Interested to know….cheers. Sorry for the rant.

David Moyes Lost the trust of the Fans by having us in a relegation battle last year, the trophy really papered over the cracks. This year started great but then fell off a cliff in the new year with 4 wins in the second half of the season that is relegation form. Only 4 wins and shipping 70+ goals while playing defensive football is frustrating.
Some of the other major issues that West Ham fans have is that the Squad is the oldest and smallest in the Prem which isn’t future proofed and Moyes doesn’t trust any of his subs so decent players like cornet and ings have become demoralised. He has failed to upgrade some of our youth players to the first team. This is the same youth team that did the double last year and reach the semi finals of the European youth competition this year.
Lastly Our new Technical Director was the technical director at Laverkusen and Hence many fans want him to take over the direction of the club. Moyes keeps butting heads with him (and Sullivan to be fair).
Though despite all of this the Man deserves his flowers. He’s done a great job overall. (Mainly the first to seasons) and it the first manager to get West Ham performing at the levels they should be consistently

Completely understand your frustration around the style of play & conceding so many goals. Very good points on Cornet and Ings, I expected much more from him (ings). Promoting the youth should be a priority for every club so that’s a major issue as well.
I’m excited to see what happens, especially if the previous Leverkusen technical director is involved.
