I grew up in California with Black Crows. I recently moved to Alaska, and now I live around Ravens. I can't believe how huge they are. I love to listen to the robot noises they make. What a amazing animal. Thanks for the video.

I once rescued a raven with a broken wing and kept it in a box until the vets for the zoo could come pick it up as they had other ravens there too. Such intelligent animals.

My parents were annoyed by the local ravens. Dad would, from 60-70 feet, shoot at them with a one-pump BB gun. A while after he started beaning them, they would take to the air, circle the property and make a total ruckus any time he went outside - infuriating him even more. I learned from him to never molest these awesome creatures and you know what? They never sent out warnings to their kin when I went outside. Imagine that.

Poe is amazing and it is so good he has people who understand and play with him. I have a pigeon who came through a similar situation and we have been together now about 15 years. Pidgee is very intelligent also. She has taught me so much. She talks a lot and likes a lot of attention. She loves to go to bed early and sleep late. She adores our bunnies but can't be left alone with them as she will run after them, pecking them for attention. When I take the bus to the beach, 2 wild crows meet me as I get off the bus. They know I have shelled sunflower seeds for them. Birds just fascinate me. What a great name of Poe!!

What a handsome fella. All last year I was feeding some crows. Took me months but one finally would sit next to me. Crows, Ravens are incredibly intelligent rivaling dogs and cats. Its a shame a lot think there pests.

This is amazing to see! My colleagues and I got Poe in 2009 at the Balsam Mountain Trust after a rock climber friend found him. I took him in and named him Poe and he gave me a hard time because I had only ever worked with birds of prey until he came along! It was like having a toddler. Wow, I am so happy he is doing so very well.
