Sure. I tend to check out people's channels if they're active on the channel, or seem like they may be interesting. However, I'm very picky on what I subscribe to, and I just don't watch every kind of video just because someone asked me to. Same goes for shout-outs, I cannot fairly shout-out somebody for no reason other than they asked, it would be unfair to anyone else who were to ask and I would be unable to do so. A shoutout from me will not gain you much viewership or subscribers.

This is what I was curious with cause I never got the Classics molds of Hot Rod. I was never satisficed with Hot Rods in Generations so I'm happy SS86 is released. Hope to get it. Also I guess the classics face looks serious because of the Energon figure before it, since Classics were based on G1 but did their own thing.
God, I wish this would be redone as Black Rodimus Convoy. SS Hot Rod looks SO good.

Yes, 100% Joshua, the Animated Hot Rod is the only other one that can stand on the same level as this new one.
I'm glad I held off on getting a Hot Rod for so long, cause now that I have this one, I'll never need another one.

I found one at my local Walmart a couple of weeks ago and I agree! The BEST Hot Rod yet! I use my Power of The Primes core robot as Rodimus Prime since he's so much bigger than Hot Rod!

Hot Rod is easily one of my favorite characters. Now he has and I rarely say this has a perfect figure to represent him. I am in love with the SS 86 Hot Rod.

my classic one was called Rodimus and it is very similar but different. I got it around 2006-08 when my son was young, before I got really into collecting for myself.

I still like the car of the old one, but for bot certainly SS86. That said I got the CHIG with the clear plastic flames & windows with sculpted car interior & metallic car detailing.
I think after a certain character did a certain thing in Infinity War, it's safe to say Hot Rod's actions have been forgiven.

I just got SS86 hot rod at Walmart today! In hand it's a great figure? Transformation is fun, articulation is great, and the accessories are great! Favorite accessory is the saw blade.
No Titans Return or Transformers Legends LG45 Targetmaster Hot Rod to add to the compematition?? 😏
Seriously, though. The Reveal the Shield Hot Rod was my first exposure to the mold. But its damning failure is that it was *_already_* suffering mold degradation upon release. Yes, the left arm popping off is a very common occurrence for that one (and probably every use of that mold that came after it). But Takara had one reuse in particular that was quite possibly the BEST use: Transformers United's UN23 Rodimus Prime. It's got a sick color scheme that's VERY Rodimus Prime. And the engine block was retooled with a peg to enable compatibility with Minicons! His right hand was similarly retooled with some sort of connection point on the bottom as well. A glorified Targetmaster Hot Rod as Rodimus Prime...my headcanon is that this was Takara's way of saying "screw you" after Hasbro butchered MP09 Rodimus Prime (as they made it a glorified Targetmaster Hot Rod)...because they did it smaller AND better. 😎😎😎
Meanwhile, SS86-4 Hot Rod NEEDS a retool into Targetmaster Hot Rod. And include Siege Firedrive aka Firebolt, where it'd make sense. And yes, that's one spot for the guns, the other being the engine block as usual. And you can attach the saw on top of that...and I am quick to advise that YOU DON'T DO THAT!! The thin plastic of the guns means the tabs can and will break eventually, and the slots in the saw are a bit too slim and will stress the plastic of that immediately!!
The classics figure, when it first came out (it is just like mine but mine was released earlier than this) was very good in comparison to the ones previous they just have improved so much since this.
Yeah that classics Hot Rod I was never a fan off. The arms always popped off and in general it wasn't great. For awhile the best Hot Rod/Rodimus I had was the animated figure

Fake chest though! I like my Classics Hot Rod (with the gold parts), wouldn't part with him at all. And his arms haven't popped off once. Although, I am very tempted by the new pink recolour of the original G1 toy that just came out.

You can also open the hood of the Classic, which is incidentelly why his back pack is bigger.
People can hate on Hasbro all they want, but they’re currently releasing the best transformer toys ever, and not bank breaking prices

I love Hot Rod, my second favourite after Prime (3rd G1 Jazz). Yes, he is a wonderful character.
Honestly even comparing some of the new stuff, whether it be from Studio Series or the WFC trilogy, to what we got only a few years ago is just kind of sad.
Like put this guy side by side with Titans Return Hot Rod. Not a bad figure by any means, but...it's really not even fair.
The fact that we went from POTP to Siege to (Most of) Earthrise to Kingdom and SS86 is astounding to me
The only saving grace for the Classics/RTS mold was the Fansproject Trailer addon. (Maybe alt mode) It's otherwise pretty bad. Articulation compared to other figures in its own line was limited... And as you showed, the arms pop off. All the time. The non-existent elbow is also awful.
As for the MP... I had the original MP, and it was so frustrating I sold him. I hear the 2nd MP had its own issues... And on another couple reviews folks like this new SS figure over the MP.
Going through all of your Old Vs New videos. This video is labeled Old Vs New #38. However it wasn’t in the Old Vs New playlist. I watched the Old Vs New where you mentioned you were going to be doing this particular Old Vs New. Then I got to the Galvatron Old Vs New where you mentioned you had already done this video. I remembered anticipating seeing this one particularly. Then not having seen it by the time you mention it in the Galvatron Old Vs New. Yet here it is. It’s not showing up in your Old Vs New playlist.

Hot rod wasn't the reason prime died
The rear end of the studio series Hot Rod’s vehicle mode is awful. That’s the one area where the old one beats it. That and the pipes on the side don’t go into the engine bay, which seems lazy.

@@monologiorobotach557 The Legends one isn't accurate to the G1 design at all, though. The Masterpiece had the car hood as the chest too and it just looked like a flat plank.
The way Studio Series Hot Rod did it was the best they could've done. It's the only way to get the shape of the chest right.

When I got the originals classic hot rod it broke in 2 seconds but the new figure is way better
I won't be buying any more Hot Rods after this one. I'm trying to get the best version of each character, check them off the list & be done with them. I'm working towards quitting collecting. I want to get 1 awesome version of each G1 character & be done with it.

Not at all! I've seen it a handful of times. I normally don't have an issue finding Transformers - if it takes a while, I'll find it eventually!

Your version of Classics Rodimus is so flimsy because I think it was the 3rd remold of the toy. The original Classics Hot Rod was not flimsy nor fell apart that much and I know cause I still have mine. I like it cause with the Fansproject Protector Armor it makes a cool AF Rodimus Prime minus the Matrix of Leadership (My only complain). His Space Winnebago looks cooler, and both the figure and that 3rd party accessory were meant to look like modernized G1 Transformers, not 80s Transformers, hence even Optimus Prime didn't look identical to G1 Optimus. Granted, Hot Rod could had benefited from Classics/Universe Sideswipe & Sunstreaker's similar transformation and articulation from that time and still use part of his modernized aesthetics.
