That is the best possible outcome for a let's player; gaining more attention for the game they're playing gives developers more reason to allow the let's play to go on without being halted by copyright laws. Keeps the genre active and keeps indie games coming. They're symbiotic organisms.

Same here, although I'm finding it quite hard. Tom made it look so easy! I didn't know about the stake until I had already engaged with the vampire lol (it doesn't even warn you that you need it!)
The vampire doesn't warn you about the stake, but there IS a free equipment box before you get to the box - and checking all the equipment before a boss battle is usually a good idea!
I don't know if Tom reads the comments, but a pro-tip is that if you put a 6 in a Bump, you get a 6 AND a 1 back (this is especially useful if you ever retry the Witch. Upgraded Bump+Upgraded Cauldron can give you basically infinite dice, as long as you keep rolling whatever number you have Bump set to).
This was "fixed" in 0.15.1 - Witch doesn't get Bump any more! It's still possible to go infinite with Lockpick + Duplicate though...

@@atlas8795 I hope you appreciate the lengths I went to, to find this out 😂 I did a Google search and couldn't find much, so tried the games creators page and blog, came across the last free playable version, went into the editor and found the wooden stakes in items... 😂 Anyway, it changes it from 40 to 20.

The vampire almost encourages you to play as little as possible as you should find the shortest route to the end so you don’t level up and keep max health

Tom, I've been having a blast with this game, cheers for the recommend, my favourite play through at the moment is to play Thief in Finders Keepers mode, you get to steal a piece of enemy equipment each time. It makes for so many completely different playthroughs AND you get to experiment with different bits of kit... I stole Cornelius' Nightmare move the other day...
I was looking at the remaining needed 3 for last stand the whole boss battle and I was like "Goddamnit Tom put that 3 there"

when I played as Vampire I had two upgraded blood sucks, a broadsword and an iron shield, it was so OP

I tried out the vampire warrior earlier and was getting off 40 damage with fury and shield grip and only ever had to worry about healing up poison damage as I had enough shield from iron shield and spiked shield to guard myself from everything from my first turn on wards

you can use bump on a six sided dice to get an additional dice. you then put the 1 you got from that into the reroller and bam 4 dice instead of 3. upvote so he can see

Maybe it's best to not fight every enemy on each level when playing vampire? Less likely to level up and lose max health if you just charge for the trapdoor.

Although that's per combat turn, so assuming that it takes roughly 100 combat turns in total to complete an entire quest, that's about a 7.5% chance of it happening over that time. As such, you'll probably see it happen once or twice if you play as the warrior a dozen times or so.

I bought this game earlier this week, but I can't play it. Whenever I extract it, the .exe is removed because of virus, and for some reason, Windows Defender won't allow me to keep it out of quarantine.
Normally it gives me a question "This might contain a virus", but the .exe is a straight up "Removed because of virus"
