  • I LOVE this candle! It is being discontinued for the present, but I’m hoping ‪@yankeecandle‬ brings it back with a new name, marketing strategy, and scent notes, because this is a lovely, well-balanced candle that does everything it’s supposed to, effortlessly.
You can get it 50% off at Yankee’s website, below:

Nice review. I might do this one this Christmas or Snow Globe Wonderland. Winter Night Stars was great last year. I burned these candles last Fall/Christmas from Yankee: Fresh Berry Fizz, Alpine Morning, Pine, Sparkling Cinnamon Spice, Belgian Waffles, Rainy Day, Frosted Mistletoe, Vanilla French Toast, Harvest Pumpkins, White Pumpkin & Praline, Spiced Pumpkin Cider, Festival Of Lights.

This is a good scent, I remember I almost got the wax melts but the scent was very light.

Maybe I was lucky, but that signature jar performed well - I don’t know if it was a full powerhouse, but it was close. It has a strong “cotton” note (i.e. laundry), and often that projects well

Mysterious “untitled video” from Coffee & Candles…watched right away! 😉 I grew up in Boston. Yankee Candle was my first candle collection - never got a chance to visit the Deerfield flagship store. BTW, Mick Kittridge is the son (I believe you said grandson) of Yankee Candle founder, Michael Kittridge. Thank you for sharing your Yankee experiences. 🍁

Also thanks for alerting me to the lack of title! I swear I put the title in, but the app was having a lot of trouble, etc.
Yay for Boston, too 🥰🥰🥰 One of my favorite cities ever and always

@@ReillyWilde omg I literally was looking up that Amtrak route yesterday - you know the one that goes from NYC to Vermont? With the glass roof to see the leaves? 🥰🥰🥰 There is absolutely NOTHING like New England autumn!!!!

I’ve found their holiday collections to be a bit of a pass for the last few years, but consistently find 1-2 that I LOVE from the spring/summer and fall collections! The Signature line is such a reliable burn and I love how easy it is to remove the label in the jars and recycle the glass. Have enjoyed Yankee Candle since the mid-90s as well as their spiritual descendant! 😊 Something I’m curious about: I’ve always assumed that every candlemaker, even if they list only 3 notes, is combining at least a dozen in every fragrance. Yankee and Kringle list them all, but surely the others just choose only to highlight a few as their fragrances would seem equally messy if all the notes were listed. Would you say that’s the case or that BBW, Homeworx, etc are actually only using 3 notes?

Gosh that’s a great question! I would lean toward your suggestion: that all those notes are there, but usually only a few come forward discernibly to the average consumer. I think there is often wisdom to announcing only a few notes, as HomeWorx and BBW do.
But there are certain lists of notes that seem so haphazard and ridiculous (as with this candle) that I question whether they are all in there. But why would they lie?? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Either way, the notes in this candle are an atrocious mess, and bear absolutely NO resemblance to what actually comes across. This diminishes the consumer’s confidence in the company and in the candle, neither of which is good.
