- Hi everyone, Michele here from the Creative Cove. Thanks for joining me today.
Today’s tutorial is about playing with recycled or used items. I found some super cheap paper cards and a couple of pencils for $.50 and decided to do a little sketch I used the eraser on the end of the pencil as a tool and ended up really enjoying these delicate little sketches.
I also talk about some of the drawing tools I use on a regular basis. But it just goes to show that you don’t have to have expensive or a large range of tools to create something unique and beautiful.
I hope this tutorial inspires you to pick up a pencil and have fun doodling away with no pressure. Use whatever tools you have readily available or run to your local thrift shop and see what treasures you can find. I almost always fin really unique items that inspire me and Inspires this Channel.
Happy Crafting!

I always look forward to your tutorials. I learn something new every time. You are a great teacher. Thank you!
Thank you so much 😊
Thanks for demonstrating how you use different mediums (watercolour, ink, pencil) to achieve your effects, Michelle. I look forward to your coloured pencil sketches. Love your tutorials.
I recently found a great white pen, it writes on everything! With a nice small nib. Its the ARTISTRO white paint pen. They are great . They have packs with all colors , but also packs with 5 white pens. They dry instantly, dont smudge and super white covering.
I love to watch you draw. It looks so easy. I’d never thought of doing all that erasing.
I love watching you so much
Aww thank you 😊
I cannot TELL you how much inspiration you give me. Thank you so much.

I wish you would publish a book. Love your beautiful work.

Thank you so much 😊
What does ORGAIC mean? mispelled Organic? Latin for Oregano? Good tips on keeping it on the cheap.
Ya I misspelled organic. Lol but I didn’t notice till after I filmed. 😂
I hate when that happens. Keeps ya humble.
cheep should also be cheap. But hey…… it doesn’t detract from the video. 😊😊😊
@@jenskinnerart2468 thank you 😂 changed that boo-boo as well.
Love it that you show the cheaper stuff, your work is amazing.
Aww thank you 😊
so nice ❤
Thank you 😊
I wonder how much art you put into paper or the quantity of art you produce. You seem so dedicated and hardworking in doing your crafts.
Love the beautiful simplicity ✨👌🏽
Thank you 😊
Great info. Thank you.
Very pretty sketches. Love the border in the paper. Regular pencils are great!
Thank you 😊

O wunderschön👍👋😍
Thanks for showing us your process. I'm always drawing right along with you. I would love to see some fish sketches.
Ok great I will add those to the list. I love fish. Especially sharks.
Thank you 😊
I love mechanical pencils. No sharpening is a plus. I’ve found them with different hardness leads, too. Thanks for your clear instructions.
Thank you 😊

Pencils are my absolute favourite tools! I can get Staedtler anywhere here. Fabre Castell are also available. I agree about white pens. Apparently, Signo Uniball are the best but I can’t get them. Posca pens don’t give me better results on paper, not even over paint or coloured pencils. My favourite eraser is the Tombow mono. It’s great for getting into tiny spaces.
Thank you for all your feedback. This is all so helpful. I am on the hunt for a white marker I didn’t know in I all made a white pen.
Thanks 😊
I got a package of three, gold, silver and white. Love them.
@@mariaescotto7666 of amazon?
For white, the best I found is Winsor and Newton ink in a small bottle that I use with a dip pen. Super opaque. They have other colors, but the aside from the white, the gold is also my go to. Most beautiful and shimmery!
Oh fun. I want to check that out. The gold sounds fantastic. I love using gold in art work
👍🧡
In the UK I love caramac it's a caramel type bar. Inside the pack of 3 there is a square of card. It's a nice thickness for drawing on. I've done lots of neurographic art on it.
Cool. Thank you 😊
This is going to sound weird but where did you get your pencil bag? It looks like thick, yummy, squishy leather😉 and orange is my favorite color...if I had to choose.
I bought it from this lady
carvergirlleatherco.ca/?fbclid=PAAabgp5vm0ZLEoXhbNPf3tPxtrz9qFQ3fxauXADBtJr4mydsfFCbpmW15tsU. It had a shark on it so I had to have it. Lol
I learn so much from you. I do wish you would teach some online courses.😊
Thank you. 😊I am thinking of a patrion account but not sure if I can dedicate the time to it.
Good morning. Love your work. Do you spray your finished pencil drawings with a fixative to keep them from smudging?
Thank you 😊 yes I use hairspray most of the time unless I am framing my work behind glass then I don’t use anything
what part of Canada are you from? I’m from Manitoba - spring is just beginning! I love you work - beautiful, creative, helpful!
I am in northern Ontario. So we are almost in full spring However it has been chilly this past week. 🥶
