  • This video explains with a visual demonstration how lines of magnetic flux behave around.a bar magnet. Take full note of the rules that explain the behaviour of magnetic fields, they'll be useful for explaining how current carrying conductors behave and also... it may come up in an exam!

course tutor sent us a few of your videos for our online learning, you can thank him for the 30-90 or so views you may have gotten today (assuming I'm not the only one that clicked)

Love your videos Joe. Do you have a video on rotating magnetic fields inside 3 phase motors?

Dude that was a smack bottom video demonstration. I could NEVER beging to truly understand "flux", lines of flux or any of it.
I just took for granted that magnets just do their thing.
I used flux to solder. Now I know that they aren't related lol.
    Again. . . . .a great vid.
I'm trying to understand how dc motors work. Generators, alternators etc for a study section in a course I'm taking.
This is a great place to start.
    Cheers 👍🇨🇦

Thanks so much! I don't believe I've ever had a video expressed in those terms before. 😂
I've done a few vids on Motors, check out my Fleming's Left Hand and Right Hand Laws and Lego motor video, they'll get you on the right track. 👍

Hello Mr joe, I want to know what are this magnet flux lines made of .there is no full explanation related to them . we know there is a force but made of what , no anwser. thank you for your videos.

They're not really made of anything, you could think of them as being a bit like gravity, not an object but a force.

You guys should write some study books with questions. I bet that would help a lot. I’d be the first to pay for them!!
