fun fact, this was a rehearsal for national tv and was held in the most prominent cabaret at the time ,Miami , which was owned by her then ex husband. the kid in the background is her only child' kambiz.

She was something special. Her patents were Iranian Azeris. There is no otner kind of Azeri but Iranian. Those guys living in that republic of Azerbaijan were all Iranian Azeris until they were replcaed by Subiects of the Ottoman Turks. She was born and raised in Tehran. Good choice of track, Mace.
Should do one on her Spanish malagueña. There is a very old video of her and it is fantastic. My favorite all time singer.

Dear youtuber now do you understand the pain most Iranians are enduring for the blockage of talents and beautiful music after Islamic revolution. Googoosh had to stay home as her beautiful voice was silenced for 20 years. Very very sad.
