Yes, a Tetris game with infinite lock delay resets is amazing for stuff like this, but I just thought, what about a game that _doesn’t lock the pieces itself, basically allowing the player to do it at will, and at all times?_ That would leave more possibilities, such as fixing mistakes or, if using a huge field, a Tetromino house on a beach of Tetrominos with any piece living in it, able to chill in their house or lay down and relax on the Mino sand, those possibilities would definitely be closer to being endless.
Actually, an expandable field and the ability to choose which lines you want cleared and at what times definitely both seem like good ideas too, only contributing to the beach+house combo idea I just mentioned...

It's pretty good for fooling around tbh. The game comes with like 30+ modes from other tetris games ranging from TGM to NES to Friends, and you can play one mode with the ruleset (rotation system, DAS/ARR timings, piece colours, harddrop/softdrop, etc.) of another mode. So if you wanna for example set a score on Shirase but with the game playing like Tetris DX you can just set your rule to Nintendo-GBC and hop in Speed Mania 2 no problem, it's amazing. There's also a Practice mode where you can test a bunch of stuff too.

Yeah, practice mode allows you to make/save maps and even play with/without certain pieces. So it's pretty useful. There's also combo race if you wanna practice 4wide.
