- Dacia Duster 2024 CRASH TEST Euro NCAP - 3 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The passenger compartment of the Duster remained stable in the frontal offset test. Dummy readings showed good protection of the knees and femurs for both the driver and passenger. Dacia demonstrated that a similar level of protection would be provided to occupants of different sizes and those sitting in different positions.
The driver's chest protection was rated as weak, based on dummy readings of compression during the test. Analysis of the deceleration of the impact trolley during the test and the deformable barrier after the test revealed that the Duster would be a benign impact partner in a frontal collision. In the full-width rigid barrier test, protection for the chest of the driver and rear passenger was rated as marginal, based on dummy readings of compression. In both the side barrier test and the more severe side pole impact, protection of all critical body areas was good, and the Duster scored maximum points in this part of the assessment.
Dacia did not provide evidence to demonstrate the degree to which the Duster would control excursion (the extent to which a body is thrown to the other side of the vehicle when it is hit from the far side). Additionally, the Duster lacks a countermeasure to mitigate head-to-head contact between the front seat occupants, so far-side protection was rated as poor. Tests on the front seats and head restraints demonstrated good protection against whiplash injuries in the event of a rear-end collision.
A geometric analysis of the rear seats also indicated good whiplash protection. The Duster has an advanced eCall system that alerts emergency services in the event of a crash. Dacia demonstrated that the doors could be opened in the event of power loss due to vehicle submergence. The Duster also features a system to prevent secondary impacts after a collision.

Great job. To me it looks like the car is physically quite safe, but since there are less passive and active electronic safety features, it gets less stars. Not a big deal
70% addulct occupant is really weak, it is not because of electronic safety featrues
Everything is acceptable, but the side pole impact is terrible it will split in half in real world scenarios.
If you read up on the NCAP site, it is an improvement over the old cars. I personally think the car is good for the price, sure it doesn't have all the smart sensors more expensive cars have, but if you ask me, those are allso "nice to haves"

Si-au batut joc de masina si arata lipsa de respect față de clientii Dacia. Motorul hybrid e cat Arkana la pret dar Arkana are 5 stele, interior mai de calitate si ....nu mai intru in detalii tehnice. Singurul lucru de apreciat e ca sunt sinceri si trimit modelul la test spre deosebire de Suzuki care n-au mai testat Vitara din 2017

Of course that makes no sense. Dacia is a save car that has more safety stuff on board than most cars from 10 years ago.
You can see they focus now heavily on driver assistance systems. Some of which people are happy to turn it off if possible.
Ne mélangé pas les années, nous sommes en 2024 ! il y a 10 ans Dacia n'aurait même pas obtenu 1 étoile ! Ont est en 2024, et pour moi cette voiture ne répond pas au normes Euro NCAP, beaucoup de voiture Chinoise obtienne aujourd'hui 5 étoiles, c'est au groupe Renault, à rectifier le tir pour obtenir les 5 étoiles !
@@jean-yvesderick6085 3 stars doesn't mean the car is bad, if you really crash with the duster it will protect you like any other car in the same segment.
3 stars mean that it has less driver assistance systems than cars with 5 stars.
But many of those driver assistance systems are just annoying. So annoying that more and more brands are now putting a button on the dashboard of the car with which you can load your own configuration of safety systems. You can turn off all systems you don't want to be activated with one button. So much for having 5 stars rating
nope... this car is not as safe as the cars from 10years ago who took 5 stars. Cause this car has always same problems: poor safety for adult occupant (above 70%) which is an old standard, even the 2017 Duster had similar score (71%). It just improved ADAS a little bit, from 37% to 57% (still very low) but everything else is the same. Side impact is still very dangerous with this car. So again, 10 years ago 5-star cars are still much better than this one which would have been maybe a 4-star in 2015.

Great job Dacia. For the price this is a great score! It's loosing stars only on active features which you don't even need if you know how to drive a car.

Star's count is irrelevant. Adult and child occupants safety rating is more important and Duster III has adult rating only 70%. Same brown colored body parts (this means that many bones would be broken) as previous car's generation - so zero passive safety progress.

ADAS have been improved a bit, but the problems are still the same. Side impact is just crazy, adult occupant safety is still quite low.
cualquier coche con 5 años en el mercado saca 3 o menos estrellas. Dacia no tiene tantas ayudas y eso le baja mucho la nota. Pero es un coche muy seguro.

The scoring system is a lot stricter now than it was back in 2015 when the Kadjar was tested. Had it been tested today, the Kadjar would have got a similar if not a worse score than this Duster due to its lack of advanced driver assistance systems and the scoring for the tests being generally stricter. Likewise, if the Duster had been tested in 2015, it would have likely scored a full 5 star rating or at least come very close

voiture dangereuse faut pas abuser non plus mdr, les normes pour le NCAP sont devenu trop contraignante 3* c'est pas mal, si on repasse une mégane 2 qui avait 5* à l'époque elle aurait 1* maintenant pourtant elle n'est pas dangereuse, la personne derrière le volant est bien plus dangereux que la voiture
Si fuera peligroso no se vendería en europa la eurocap lo forman empresas independientes . Y valoran para q los coches tengan mogollón de ayudas electrónicas ( q casi todos desconectamos ) y vender más caro . Con 4 ayudas más sacaría 4 o 5 estrellas . Lo q nos importa son los daños x impacto

Peccato! Sono rimasto deluso: mi aspettavo un punteggio migliore, specialmente per gli ADAS.Era una delle auto che avrei preso in considerazione, per un futuro acquisto. E l'avrei pagata anche 2000€/3000€ in più se avesse avuto ADAS più sicuri.
