I am studying your lessons for this song, Lindsay Buckingham, Jimmie Page, Scorpions, etc. It is such a blessing that you have taken time to post them. Your talent and style are phenomenal, and the results are great lessons, and magical musical experiences. Thank you so much for posting!
Excellent lesson. No-nonsense. Great camera angle, shows both hands, not a lot of panning and cutting, just a good, hard-core "this is how you play it" video. My favorite. Thanks very much!
A pleasure to listen and learn from you, as I appreciate the "theory" you throw in explaining the derivation of some of the sounds. For me, that adds value to the lesson aside from learning this beautiful song. Many thanks!
Thank heavens for CZcams and thank heaven for people like yourself that take time out to put tutorials together. Learning a song the old way by 'ear' would have taken me an eternity so cheers for another lesson learnt!!
I've gotta tell ya Andy that all of the acoustic song lessons you've posted on your CZcams Channel has been very well received at my shows. I've always been a stiggler for medleys - even my own original songs. So far, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, etc. have been received with great applause and appreciation from my audiences. I'm looking forward to adding this one to one of my sets. Thank you so much Andy!
Just first rate explanation and instruction. I’m so impressed with your sincerity. Awesome.
One of the most beatifull acustic guitar themes ever. Just love it.
phenomenal song! I tremendously appreciate lessons like this. very clear. I like the string and fret callouts like G4, D3, E2, etc... so much better and clearer than traditional '3rd string, 4th fret' method. many, many thanks! great job! I was intimidated by trying to learn this song, but after finding this video I'm going for it! :-)
So thankful for people like you. Sharing your good teaching skills, and doing such a great job breaking things down.
Love the way you play and explain everything here. Love the theory. Love the way jazz seems so fluid and simple here. Not overwhelming but just challenging enough to motivate!
Best lessons on youtube. Especially acoustic.

Thanks for a brilliant lesson...I was going a bit stale and this certainly freshens up my playing with a beautiful song with some new chords too.
Superb, thanks for the lesson. Great commentary just fills it out.
Thanks for the lesson. I kind of learnt this song in a sloppy kind of way using basic chords but it's nice to finally see how to do it properly.
When broken down to just the acoustic guitar it's amazing how James Taylor-esque it is! Thank you.
Sounds so nice : ). Thank you for sharing. I will work on learning this one.

A most excellent lesson, many thanks
Excellent tutorial, thank you!
Great Vid. Had this dialed by the end of it.
Thank you very much, perfectly captures the song
Stellar lesson!
You're too much man....love your playing and lessons! Bravo!
Omg this is beautiful... I can't wait to learn this!
That F#13 is a perfect example of proper four party harmony jazz voicing. I know this because I had lessons a LONG time ago from an amazing instructor named Harry Leheigh. Great tutorial btw, also ur Purple Rain tutorial was excellent.
I'm ever grateful for you tutorials! I also love it that you mentioned Pat Metheny's version of this song. It's on his 2002 "One Quiet Night" solo baritone guitar album.
Nice change of pace. Well done.
Wow, this is awesome! Definitely my style of video.
Excellent job sir!
that's brilliant,thank you.
It is an awesome song and I totally agree it will find its place in the classic American songbook. A few years back I managed to pick up an ear version of this song using a flat pick, the occasional finger, and no capo. My other half likes to sing it and insisted I learn it...and I really had to work at it. When I was figuring it out I caught the descending chromatic...and worked around that....very observant of you to point that out. Thanks for great break down. I'm going to search CZcams to find the Jesse Harris version. :)
thanlk you sir; excellent lesson, pleasure to learn from you.
Tanks great tutorial!
So great!
Thank you so much for a person like you you and others who taught me through "You Tube"to learn guitar the right way!
thanks for the lesson, appreciate it.
Great lesson
Well done. Thanks.
Awesome! You and I have the exact same guitar. Only mine is the dreadnaught body. Love it brother man. Thanks for the helpful lighting and camera angle which really helps see the guitar and focus on it.
a subtly difficult song to learn, took me a few weeks but here we are! thanks for the help.
Excited to find your video. I heard the Pat Metheny version when researching guitars, one of my passions. Pat’s version has that incredible base because he had a specially made baritone guitar which he played exclusively on his album, One Quiet Night.
The guitar is said to be so unique that it’s changing the standard for baritone guitars.
Thank you for your help
Great Job !
Sensible. Thank you for this! 😊
Outstanding.
Thank you so much for this great lesson!
You're very welcome!
Magnificent!
So Good. My favorite CZcams channel.
finally a non-beginner and excellent tutorial/lesson. thank you very much, sir!
I thought this was beginner
Great tune
Great lesson on this song... Thank you hugely for this. I've wanted to learn it and you've made it approachable with your amazing tutorial! By the way, Jesse Harris wrote 4 songs off Norah's "Come Away With Me" debut album, and he co-wrote with Norah on "The Long Day Is Over".
The heck with it, I'll have a crack at learning it.
Love the song. I find singing and picking a bit difficult but I might be able to find a chanteuse to help me out!!
I found it a easier to do the fingerpicking and switch the chords when I want to sing
Thannnkyouuu somuch for taking the time to teach those of us who have passion for songs like this and others, interestingly, the name of the street I live on is "Vista Del Sol", and to me, that is what this song and music means to me.
Thank You!!
Hey, i want to express my gratitude for your great lessons. It´s truly inspirational to see such dedication and skill. I was wondering if you´re planning to do some Rory Gallagher, he is one of my favourite guitarists but sadly there are no quality lessons of his music on youtube.
Marvelous-Explanations.
Perfect!!!!!
GREAT!!
another great lesson. thank you
This song is great, and you really did it justice with this lesson. Could you do Come Away with Me? I haven't been able to find any good tutorials for that, but you always do an excellent job.
I searched so much for this but I never found out. The algorithm has failed you. I subscribed and I hope you get the views you surely deserve.
I don't know about that! czcams.com/users/results?search_query=how+to+play+don%27t+know+why+on+guitar+
Thank you.
Wow. Sounds exactly.
wow very nice and yfigured out.
ou reall got it
Thank you! Once again you are the one we can trust . About Pat qmetheny on Joils Holland s show : I read he plays a barytone guitar in A with a nashville tuning . Cherrs from Paris
thought this was going to be a lot easier to learn than it was to be honest! with the descending bass it sounds like blackbird so i thought it would be of a similar difficulty but was mistaken. Despite that, this video does a really good job of teaching it, well done
Me too! I just started guitar and I'm suffering! Mostly which fingers to use in left hand give me headache. Sounds so simple!
Damn that’s beautiful
