I would have assumed there would be ways to modify the letters in the sack themselves (add/remove letters or add special effects to some letters like Balatro does with its cards), otherwise I don't see much point in having the icon to check the letters you could draw there. Also not sure if it's a mechanic already, but I really enjoyed some scrabble variants that let you replace/place letters on top to make new words and create combos, so this would be my suggestion. (Also, different board formats or bosses enemies that destroy titles over time to make it harder like that cool scrabble "battleroyale")
As for some interface feedback:
- Not keen on the pixelated font when it's upscaled like the big pixelated "SHOP" and I think the price tags could be slightly closer to the items + smaller too?.
- The alignment on "Next" button feels off like it has a unintentional space at the start (" Next"?); also you have most buttons in all caps [PLAY], [GIVE UP], so I would expect [REROLL] and [NEXT] to be capitalized as well. The shadows under the buttons feel a bit too much to the left (or maybe just scrap it altogether since it already has the bevel texture).
- The relic tooltip box could have just a little bit more padding and maybe a different font altogether as it's hard to read specially center-aligned. (The "b" in badge almost reads as "lo", for instance)
- I also feel like the hint "Must start on the start tile/___ is a valid word" could/should be put at the top of the board (maybe it slides up/offscreen once you have a valid word) and keep the bottom button simply as [PLAY] that gets greyed out/deactivated until you have a valid play. The red is also a bit jarring as it is too saturated (too close to #FF0000)
- I would also reconsider the thrash/sack icon locations as it feels like the thrash is creating a lot of unused space at the left of the board. It would be simpler to just have both icons at the right and free up/reorganize the stuff at the right (relics/boons) at the right so that the board can still be centralized.
I tried to play it but it is zoomed in to where I can't see the "play some tiles button. I'll try again in a week or two cause it looks really fun to me

Honestly, scrabble-likes is an untapped genre. I know you played another one that was interesting a while ago, but they're not as common as one might expect, for being an interesting basis.
at 44:50 because of your relic, you got both extra turns from "newer" (once from the second E and once from the R), so there weren't any left to get from "raised"
I am terrible at Scrabble, but this is a really cool idea.

I'm really surprised that you can't customize your «deck» by adding/removing letters.
Also, It's strange a little that after each stage all board buffs are cleared, and you need re-buy relics.
PS.: I've learned the word «equinox» :P
its like a roguelike where each dungoeon has a boss and levels to it. When you enter the different one everything is reset
After I watched some streamers play the demo I realized the stages didn't really feel like I wanted them to do, so in the version I am working on for the October next fest its going back to a more classic roguelike structure where you play a whole run keeping your stuff.
@@OMGGames-pm1nn or add more modes? This could be Challenge Mode, single run could be another mode, and maybe add Endless?
You can customize your deck/tiles between runs, they just reset every run
