  • I finally began the process of building my 2021 Ram Promaster City! Turns out it's been a lot of trial and error, ordering stuff online, and watching van build videos.

I watched another CZcams video that said it was very important to leave access on the floor to that component that looks like a circle. It’s needed for possible repairs in the future so be sure to leave that access when you put down your floor. If you don’t you could potentially have to tear out your floor in the future

You need to think about Wayfair Vans and Cascade camper. You need to have a access opening in the floor to the fuel pump and gas tank fuel gauge sending unit .To make your van build easy use 80/20 aluminum and not wood. Look on youtube for how to use 80/20 aluminum ( 80/20 bolts together) Remember you cannot (should not) pull over 1400 lbs in your van ! Try not to use screws to hold things to the van (walls, floor)bolt with rib-nuts I hope this helps ( I have built 12 to 15 van conversion and owned 30 to 35 vans)

can’t wait to see how this turns out! please also review the driving aspect of this van. i’m considering it over the ford transit connect due to more cargo room and a slightly ‘beefier’ engine.

Because your an artist, you have an advantage. Tool in your hands will be like second nature to you. I have no doubt your van will be the sickest art van build out there. By being mobile you'll be able to travel to fairs all over that you couldn't before. Be sure to leave room under the floor for art and frame work for your set up. if your going to do lights in back, run your wire before you insolate.

The side rear window frames are surrounded by weather stripping. Pull it off. It's not serving anything. If you install windows in the back doors, you can trim the weather stripping and put it on the inside around the windows.

@@gianna.andrews do you mind elaborating on how far 100 sqft gets you in the promaster city? Is that all nooks/walls/ceiling/and front area of the van? 100%ish coeverage or 75%ish? Thank you!

Always wear face mask when working with fibrous material or any toxic materials/liquids but as an artist I bet you know that!
