There are two caps on either side of the main hinge. use needlenose pliers to pull the wire through one of these holes, it helps to push/feed the wire through the back at the same time. You get a lot of slack in the middle, then wiggle the rest through the rest of the elbow
I totally agree; this video needs to be removed. Because basically all of the lamp repair has been cut. Excellent subject, however. This is the exact elbow bedroom wall lamp that we are dealing with. Thanks anyway. Howard

Yeah but I need to know the trick to fishing the new cord THROUGH the swing arm. The old cord has worn through its casing and it shocks me when I touch the lamp. I'm having a very difficult time passing the new cord through the swing arm portion of the lamp. Can ANYBODY please give me some idea how to do this. HELP!!

You might even need to fish it out using a strong paperclip bent into a hook. You pull enough to get a lot of slack in the middle, then wiggle the rest through the rest of the elbow
What in the actual fk is this?? Lamp repair with no lamp repair fkn solid work
Well, here's 33 seconds I'll never get back.
