This is such a beautiful story about looking past academic excellence, not that it doesn't matter but that there's more to success than IQ; this is a story about Emotional Intelligence, about the power of empathy. What the deputy principal in Alliance did was set you off on a path to greatness, God bless her.
Yes, she taught me one of the most important lessons of my life 😚
Oh My God, guys Naivasha girls is fire and good and big some of us are here and we are engineers and doctors there's nothing like being in a national school to get a chance to be a doctor or an engineer...😁
victoria kemunto absolutely it's an amazing school
@@eunicekamau3224 yes I've learned that no matter where you are in life, it's your determination that sets you part 💕💕
Yes, it's your determination that sets you apart 💕💕
Vicky I cant agree more ..
@@Njerinjuguna3 perhaps you could advocate for this more? It's what you tell your child that ultimately determines their attitude towards a school btw. If you tell them they will succeed because of hard work and determination they will. If you put pressure for them to fit somewhere else, that also determines how they turn out. Although I believe parents and guardians ultimately strive to give the best they can. And sometimes, you are just get somewhere because that's where your destiny connectors are 🙂
This is an example of how Kenya's academic ranking system makes people feel they are nothing unless they are winning. I am glad that she got past academic scores to do more to change the world around her.
Yes, our academic system does a number on us. My hope for the future is that I'll teach my kids to value education but also the gifts they possess from the inside 😊
I went to Naivasha Girls got the same A-(minus),same year you sat for your kcse😊its not about circumstances ,its about potential and dreams

@@selinelevina5757 haha kwani you have met again here🤣🤣
I agree
Here for all to see...our country bristles with scores of extremely genuinely brilliant young people. If we could be serious enough as a nation to embrace, engage, create opportunities and requisite systems for all these brilliant minds where would we be as a nation surely?!
Great talk Cynthia...your story is very inspiring ...
Thank you for watching 💕☺️
Wow Cynthia!! Look at you so beautiful and being super excellent about what you're doing!! 👏
I relate so much to your story, partly because I know you in person and share the high school experience, and partly because I've had the same struggles with identity and the constant longing to be excellent.
Thank you for the inspiration, keep flying high! 🤗

"I Am Enough'
The moment she demeans Naivasha girls is the moment am pissed off
I guess her she meant no harm..but when she said 407 you could expect that was national school mark..
