I see this is old, but I got a high power microscope for my son for Xmas. What do you recommend " as a sample " to see living bacteria / parasites? And how to see them. I'm a cop not a scientist. Lol. But my son loves science. He's 7 I'm 35. He just wants to see microscopic life. The microscope I got him can go up to 2000. It wasn't cheap $1,300 Any simple live bacterial/ or parasite.. things you can recommend would be appreciated.
Kudos on starting your son on his science journey. Microscopes are awesome and the things you can view under one are almost limitless! Here a couple of links to some great objects to start his viewing, but like I said the opportunities are endless. www.microscopeworld.com/t-low_microscope_ideas.aspx and www.toptenreviews.com/home/articles/top-10-things-to-see-with-your-first-microscope/
