- This is how you can make modded planks in Lumber Tycoon 2! This has very many uses and it's a very handy thing to know! You probably can't do this with palms though.

Lol I taught you the method. A reason why you shouldn't chop it too much as it would loose the connection to rest of the ree making it smaller .

i put the whole tree in the drop-off (I sell the whole tree) except a small piece which I then put in the sawmill, is that the reason why its not working for me
You're not meant to sell the whole tree

@@Ethan-xj7hb basically you gotta think of it as Bluetooth. The branches are wirelessley connected to the log. If the branches are all sold, the game wont be able to pull it into a large modded plank. I dont think this method is patchable without changing how trees work.

How do we do this with pine trees?
I don't think it's possible, I've been trying to do this whole day, because pine and blue spruce are similar. Afaik, they are different to the rest of the trees in the way they work

Only chop the tree once and dont sell the tree fully. You must have bits of the tree remaining to work.

Not quite, for example it'd be difficult to do this with lava wood because you'd have to carry it all the way from volcano...
