So you can jog the Y and the A and both axis move but will both axis move is sync when you use a MDI command or while running a G code program?

Hi, I need your help. I have to motors connected to the CNC shield one as Y and the other one as A slave, I put the two pins to make it slave and the direction BUT the slave only turns in one direction. If I turns the Y to the right the slave goes to right but if I turn the Y to lefty the left the slave goes to right again, why is that? How to fix it?
